Excellent selection of vegan options - Edit
Lime was a great discovery while staying in the Galway’s Latin Quarter. At the time of my visit (pre-COVID) they had a separate vegan menu so ordering was extremely easy. I was with a group so we were able to sample several items and all of the food was good. I have had good vegan pad Thai, spring rolls etc at other restaurants so for me the standout was the tofu burger. Crispy outside, soft inside, it was one of the best tofu dishes I’ve ever eaten.

This place is a gem if you're vegan/vegetarian and love Asian food. They have a full vegan/vegetarian menu and you're really spoilt for choice with a lot of tofu & seitan options.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and they even treated us to a special Anniversary vegan dessert.
The space felt very safe and you can see all the cooks in the kitchen as they tirelessly prepare the food they're masks on.
Highly recommended and we will definitely be back to sample more of the menu!
Pros: Full vegan/vegetarian menu, Use tofu & seitan

one of my favourites (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) - Edit
lime has to be one of my favourite restaurants in galway atm, i haven't even actually ate at the restaurant, just been there to collect food, but it's really nice inside and would love to when i feel comfortable to dine in again. i actually got the vegan singapore noodles, which are amazing, from here twice this week. along with vegan duck spring rolls and crispy potato skins for starters. previously i've had the tofu burger which is decent if you're not in the mood for more traditional asian food and the vegan duck which i unfortunately had the opportunity to try a little bit of before i proceeded to spill it all over my car. it's also great for non vegans/vegetarians so it's a great place for a group dinner with options for both meat eaters and vegans/vegetarians.

Excellent - Edit
We came here a few times while in Galway and I can only say good things. Think this is the best vegan menu (in a non vegan restaurant) I have come across in my four years as a vegan. We tried a few different things and they were all excellent. Special mention to the nasi goreng and the tofu mushroom brushetta. Friendly staff and quick service. Reasonably priced and delicious

Delicious! - Edit
Ate here on a family short break (2 adults, 1 teen and 2 children) to Galway ( 2 vegans and 3 vegetarians). Just reading the separate vegan menu made my mouth water, my favourite flavours and dishes , some with a twist. If we weren't leaving the next morning we would have returned. About 6 starters and maybe 8 mains to choose from. Got a couple of starters to share - the thai risotto and thai loaded potato skins were especially good. Mains of pad thai, green curry and tofu burger, all really good, my favourite was the pad thai. The kids had the large spring rolls with chips, also good. Didn't have time for dessert but there was at least one option. Easy to locate, nice decor, service pleasant.

Delicious food in wonderful atmosphere - Edit
Lime is one of the nicest restaurants in Galway. They have a dedicated vegan menu, as well as having vegan specials and the food is so delicious. They have the best vegan pad Thai I've had in Ireland and I also love the red curry, gado gado and the crispy tofu. Lime also excels at cocktails and offer vegan desserts. The place itself is lovely, with a slightly fancy decor combined with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The waiters and manager are always lovely. I've brought huge groups here a couple of times (8 - 45 people) and they've been really patient. I definitely recommend this place.

Disclaimer - I wasn’t allowed to give the place 5 stars because it is not fully vegan or vegetarian.
Read moreMy wife and colleague (Vietnamese from LA) sat at the bar since the place was full. Be sure to make reservations, especially on a Saturday night.
The vegan friendly menu, deliciously crafted cocktails, and exquisitely prepared Asian fare with strong emphasis on fresh and local ingredients make this the perfect restaurant. Dishes are cooked as traditionally as possible while everything from the cocktails to the appetizers have their roots based in Asian techniques and flavors.
Lime has the swank of New York City, the unassuming attitude of London, Asian diversity found in San Francisco, taste you’d expect of a restaurant in Singapore; perhaps most importantly….the affable Galway charisma.
Pearse will wow you with his masterful bartender swagger as he mixes top notch cocktails and Conner the maitre d' (man of the house, manager) will charm you with his hospitable, classy demeanor. They make the atmosphere very fun and inviting in the front of the house meantime the Malaysian chef and Thai sous chef work their magic behind the scenes. You’re reminded often that you and your sense are their priority.
Make it a point to visit them.

Very tasty! Recommend! - Edit
We were the first to enter at the restaurant, the server was SUPER lovely! We ordered vegan tofu burguers w sweet potato fries and garlic mayo, at first I think the mayo we received as only a vegan mayo but kinda tasteless, then we asked for more and he gave us real garlic mayo that made the burguer a lot tastier!

Delicious, Full of Flavor - Edit
I had the vegan pad thai the first time and actually had it delivered to my dorm. Second time I had the Vegan Nasi Goreng which was so full of flavor and the perfect sized portion. A previous review mentioned inattentive staff - its just that in Ireland waiters don’t bother you every five seconds and you do have to look up at them if you want them to visit your table. I’d highly recommend this place.

Tasty food, Very busy, Inattentive staff - Edit
If your looking for the traditional Irish hospitality, then this might not be your place. While the food was tasty, it was extremely busy (we visited in July). The manager and staff were not well organized and always seemed to be one step behind. There was a long wait to place our order, long wait to be served and no one checked on us until we were done eating. The restaurant is of good size and can accommodate larger parties which seems to be there downfall. When we were there we were surrounded by large portions parties and the staff could not keep up with the demand.
Read moreThe restaurant in general was a bit run down and not the cleanest. The windows were filthy and the bathrooms needed attention.
Food came out extremely hot; too hot to eat.
The server was extremely friendly and seemed genuinely friendly and apologetic for the wait. The manager was helping out the staff and appeared in distress and frazzled. Very much just going through the motions fast. At one point he almost burned my spouse with a hot plate of food as he buzzed by us to serve another table.
Although we were seated in a middle of the room table for two, it didn’t feel like you were on display (a plus). Unfortunately it was in the path of serving to other nearby tables which had caused some issues.
I had the risotto mushroom patty as a starter and it was very good. My spouse had the green tacos, and he like his very much as well.
Even though the food was good, we would not return due to the atmosphere and inattentive service.
Pros: Full page of vegan options, Food is tasty, Affordable
Cons: Extremely busy (July), Long wait for food, Poor service

Delicious and hip restaurant - Edit
We didn’t have a reservation but they fit us in right away on a Friday night and we are glad they did. Abundant vegan menu with creative dishes. We loved the mushroom risotto cake with asparagus as well as Singapore Noodles. Veggie dumplings were a little boring but the stuffed tofu was really good with peanut sauce. They also had at least three vegan desserts.

Good enough food, disgraceful service - Edit
It pains me to give a bad review to an omni restaurant that offers vegan options, but I cannot let this slide. The vegan options are mostly tasty, although they could use a little bit more salt or soya sauce. Place looks a bit presumptuous and the service... the service is a disgrace. The main waiter looks and acts as if he has a rotten lime up his [censored]. He makes one feel like a total burden. Also, they closed the kitchen without letting us know and we were unable to order dessert. I'd never go back to this place nor recommend it to anyone. Shame.
