Good vegan burrito - Edit
There is no option labelled as vegan on the menu, but if you ask they'll tell you which ingredients are vegan.

Best burrito bowl - Edit
Such lovely staff that offer to change gloves when you ask for a vegetarian/vegan option. The food is so full of flavour and I always get the burrito bowl.

Cheap and tasty vegan tex mex - Edit
Boojum is a 'Mexican' small chain in Ireland that is brilliant for vegans. Three staff are very welcoming to vegans and change their gloves if you ask for a vegan meal to avoid cross-contamination. You choose whether you want a burrito, tacos or a burrito bowl and then choose everything additional piece by piece so everything can be made vegan as long as you don't add meat or cheese. The burrito bowls are huge, delicious and really cheap. It's brilliant fast food. They've recently introduced a few new things including vegan sour cream and churros as part of veganuary - I hope they keep them. You can make a burrito bowl gluten-free if you choose the lime rice instead of Mexican, so it's also brilliant for gluten-free vegans.

Always my go to food - Edit
Really good food with even better staff! They always offer to change their gloves and wipe down the counter. They also can get fresh salsas from the back fridge Incase the ones out the front have been mixed with some sour cream! Have a seasonal vegan chili option too! Very yummy 😋

Personally I find it a bit disappointing. I love burritos (and maybe it's just because I had the best vegan specific burrito ever in New Zealand) but I would much rather if there was a vegan substitute for at least the cheese.
Read moreIt's great to be able to have a burrito takeout in Galway and all but it could easily be improved. I'm going to send them an email regarding this and it would be even more effective if some of ye lovely people did the same!
Pros: Can be made vegan
Cons: No substitutes, No vegan specific options

excellent service - Edit
As soon as we said we were vegan the (I assume) more senior member of staff took care and insisted on new gloves and fresh pots of each of the ingredients to be used! Made it easy and gave us confidence in the food!

One of the best - Edit
This really is a place for everyone... Very inexpensive for the huge portions! They have a list of all the allergy warnings in the restaurant. If you eat gluten-free you can get a burrito bowl instead of wrap-just as tasty!! I always go here, one of my favourite places i cant recommend enough! the only con i can think of is that it gets busy at lunch time and in the evening (when college students come)

Ireland's own Chipotle - Edit
Similar to Chipotle in America, and very delicious. Inexpensive and definitely worth the money. The staff are helpful and friendly, even when they are super busy. The veggie burrito is really good, and is vegan without the cheese and sour cream. Boojum itself hs a cool atmosphere, huge murals and usually a young college croud. definitely one of my favorite Galway spots!

Cons: Can be very busy around lunchtime
