Sou cliente habitual deste restaurante, adoro! Estão sempre a inovar e a comida é deliciosa. Desde o risotto, caril de vegetais até ao bolo de aniversário 😍🤤

Pros: Staff 5*, comida deliciosa e espaço acolhedor.

Nice atmosphere, great food - Edit

Since we live in the same town, this has become our favorite healthy eating establishment. Small menu that changes daily with vegan, veggie and healthy eating options. They also offer a buffet on certain days that we have not tried yet. Good prices, nice staff and tasty food

A touch of class - Edit

Portuguese food is perhaps known for being robust (and rather filling). Leaf offers more finely crafted food, from our experience. Portions are not huge but very tasty.

The cafe itself is a cut above, ‘on trend’, and has a varied library of books in different languages to browse. Add some soft jazz in the background and you have it. A nice ambiance.

We had the soup, for which we were offered a second helping. Surprised, we turned it down, though later we regretted it as there was quite a wait for the mains. When they arrived, it was clear someone with an understanding of vegan food had prepared them. In the interests of research, we had pudding too - chocolate mouse with kiwi purée.

We’d be happy to eat there again and it’s a chilled place to hang out with a coffee.

Sehr bemüht, uns glücklich zu machen - Edit

Das Restaurant ist sehr hübsch gestaltet, hat leider nur eine kleine Karte mit wenig Auswahl. Ich hatte die Tagessuppe, eine leckere Blumenkohlsuppe und geröstetes Toast mit Tapenade. Mein Mann hatte den Quinoaburger, der nur mit Patty und Salat serviert wird. Das Patty war sehr lecker, bestand aus Kichererbsen und Quinoa. Weil wir solange auf die Hauptspeise warten mussten, bekamen wir noch Hummus mit Möhrenschnitzen gratis. Beim Nachtisch hieß es erst, der Carrot Cake wäre vegan, die Kellnerin hat sich dann aber noch mal im Eigeninitiative erkundigt und mir dann gesagt, dass leider Ei drin wäre. Ich habe dann verzichtet, worauf sie uns als Entschuldigung gratis ein veganes Schokomousse brachte. Sehr lieb! Wir waren am Ende pappsatt und haben weniger als 15 Euro gezahlt. Top!

Comida, lugar y gente que te hacen el día! - Edit

Comida rica, lugar bacan y buena onda de la gente que trabaja. Prueben todo lo que puedan que están buenísimos. No es vegano 100% pero muy vegan friendly y eso no encanta.

Rich food, place bacan and good vibes of the people who work. Try everything you can that are great. It's not 100% vegan but very vegan friendly and that doesn't love it.

Our favorite restaurant in Portugal! - Edit

We visited Caldas da Rainha for two weeks in August-September 2019. We had read many good reviews about Leef and the restaurant was very close to our hotel. We ate at Leef about 10 times during our stay and enjoyed every meal experience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Though we eat a 100% whole food plant based diet, we had no difficulty with food choices as Leef’s menu accommodates a wide variety of diet choices including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and carnivore! The Monday lunch buffets were particularly diverse and enjoyable.

Special thanks to Gabriela, a most delightful and caring young woman who served us most days; to Mary, Leef’s very talented and creative chef; and to Inez, Leef’s engaging and business-savvy owner. We look forward to returning soon!

Pros: Fresh, delicious food!, Happy energy!

Cons: Closed on Sundays! 😭

Só não damos cinco estrelas porque não é totalmente vegetariano. Surpreendeu pela positiva desde a sopa ao prato passando pela sobremesa.

Very nice - Edit

I had lunch here one day in June 2019. They have a very good menu of things to choose from. Most of the things seem to be vegetarian with lots of vegan options as well. The restaurant interior is very attractive and the service was friendly. The meal I had was very delicious and I would definitely recommend this place if you happen to be in Caldas da Rainha or Obidos.
