Very expensive and not really friendly - Edit
We went there for lunch at 1 pm and half of our order was already sold out (tabulee, lentil soup)
Read moreSo we ordered the dips and the falafel, even though it looks like 3,20€ for all of the dips on the menu it’s 3,20€ per dip ( a very small portion) without bread. We also got the Falafel, which were okay but not great. You pay 12,20€ for four plain falafel without sauce or anything.
The room was very cold and the waitress rather unfriendly.
All in all the taste was okay not spectacular and for the location very expensive.

Plenty of delicious vegan dishes - Edit
Cairo is a great option for vegans in Caldas. The vegetarian dishes are all vegan and there are lots of choices. The flavours were delicious and the food was very nourishing (we went in really hungry). The pita bread was the best I've ever eaten for sure. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will be back soon to try the other vegan dishes. Heads up it's cash only but it's well worth the small inconvenience. There's an ATM in the grocery store across the street.

Great environment, the lady who received us was a ray of sunshine. She was really well informed about the plant based options which were a lot including entrees, main course and dessert options.

Amazing food! Very tasty options. Many vegan choices. Would recommend. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. Everything was made in house and it was great! Definitely worth stopping by!

We happened upon Cairo for lunch and found the food to be very good and made from fresh vegetables from the “Praça do Fruta”! It was a thoroughly enjoyable meal and Katherine, the owner and Chef was delightful!

Loved the food at Cairo, really good falafel and moussaka. The owner prepares everything herself fresh from scratch and is not only very hostpitable but also well informed about vegan food and takes care to accommodate vegans and omnis alike.
