Cozy restaurant with Portuguese food - Edit
Really cozy restaurant with warm owner and waitress (who was incredibly friendly and patient although with limited English!).
Read moreI had the Portuguese bean stew with rice which was cooked to perfection. Just the hearty meal I needed after a long day of exploring the island!
They have many vegetarian options, many of which look vegan. This is not clearly marked on the menu but nothing that cannot be clarified with the staff there. They were really nice and I felt very welcome in the restaurant!

So glad to find vegan options - Edit
I had the baked beans and rice, and a salad. Was tasty, and I'm just so grateful to find vegan options. Man is it challenging on this island! Not impossible, but challenging. Also cool that they had non alcoholic beer on the menu as well. There were other options, like tomatoes soup (of the day) but by time we went, around 845/9pm they were out. The owner is so friendly and kind. Great cozy place.

The food at Lan's is extremely decent with several clear options.
Read moreI agree with other reviews that it doesn't really hold a candle to Rotas (down the street), but Lan's has the advantage that you can actually get in and the people working there seemed quite nice and helpful.
I think Lan's is ultimately not very memorable, but you can eat well there and don't necessarily need to plan ahead or make a big outing of it.

Overpriced. - Edit
Pizzas have generous toppings which is good if you are vegetarian (no vegan option). But they arnt cheap. The vegan options comprise of various rice dishes with vegetables and soy sauce, and are very overpriced at 11-12 euros, for what they are. Your money much better spent a few doors up the same road at Rotas.

Friendly service, big portions - Edit
We had lunch here and left with very full stomachs! The portion sizes are quite big and the prices were affordable. Two people having lunch plus sparkling waters came out to €22. The food itself was alright. There aren't many vegan options on the island so it was nice to have a few vegetarian choices!

Vegan Vietnamese - Edit
There is a vegetarian page on the menu with most dishes already vegan. We ordered the soup of the day, which was a tomato soup, the vegetable curry and noodles with pineapple and soy sauce. Since there are limited places on the island for vegans, this place is a must.

Portuguese Asian Fusion food - Edit
The food was really good! We were there 3 times, so we tried all vegan there was. The rice has pineapple on it, which was strange to think of, but really good to eat. The Feijoada (beans) and curry are exceptional.
Read moreIf you call a couple of days, Lan can cook more vegan dishes. She's really proud to have these options on her restaurant.
Besides the food, the service is amazing. The waiter acts as if she was our mom. So caring, thoughtful and she remembered us from one time to the other.
Pros: Great food, Great Service, Well located
