Do not turn away because of the stinky Tofu smell

We came here twice, the kimchi and the normal dry noodles are amazing!

Small kimchi noodle place

Great taste. Mostly thick noodle or rice soups with plenty of vegetables and delicious kimchi.
The staff told me they don't use eggs or dairy in any dishes.
No English menu, the staff can speak just a little bit of English.
Try the stinky tofu if you dare.

Solid vegan

Decided to try stinky tofu and surprisingly didn’t enjoy it. But the curry noodles and the kimchi noodles are still really good and you get a huge portion for 120 Taiwan dollars ($4).

Pros: All vegetarian , High quality spiciness, Inexpensive

Tasty Kimchi noodles

A friendly open-air eatery serving delicious handmade kimchi noodles and rice. Service is very quick, although no English is spoken and there is no English menu. Good for a quick and tasty meal.

Pros: fast service, tasty dishes

Cons: no English

Simple and tasty small restaurant

This small street restaurant is located in the center of Hualien, at the crossroad between Zhongxiao Rd and Zhongzheng Rd. There are a few tables along the road and a few more inside. Food is cheap and simple but tasty. It offers mainly dry or soup noodles or rice, many options with curry or spicy cabbage (kimchi).

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Menu is only in Chinese

Good food

Food is fine, doesn't deserve current 3.5 rating. Rated to balance the rating.

Note that location is like 50 meters closer to sea, than marked on map

street kitchen style bisto

It is close to the sea and the.night market. It was cosy, clean, with nice decorations and with nice bowls and reusable chopsticks. I had a big bowl of kimchi stew with noodles. Great street kitchen style.experience. I tried to give some tip to the cook,.but she refused, so probably dont do it ;-)

Pros: looks nicer.than usual street kitchen bistros, low price

Cons: small choice
