We just came for the food but would love to experience a stay here. The atmosphere was so peaceful. The staff were lovely and professional.
The food was really delicious. It was high end prices for Sri Lanka but it was worth it.
I ordered eggplant curry with traditional red rice - it came with two types of curry, mango chutney, coconut chutney, and papadam. Their flavors were surprisingly subtle- neither too spicy nor too salty which I found rare in South Asia. You can sit right next to the open air pool and enjoy your meal!
We can’t wait to return for one of their VEGAN NIGHTS - Edit
Update August 2023 :: they have now started ‘vegan nights’ with an exciting looking menu, we hope to return and check it out soon.
We stayed her for 4 nights on an Ayurvedic retreat and absolutely loved it. We had daily consultations with the DR who prescribed a series of treatments, Ayurvedic medicines, yoga and vegan food. We both had different meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner as suggested by the DR. This led to a little bit of ‘food envy’ but in all fairness, everything we had was amazing. Perfect way to start or end a trip to Sri Lanka.
Food made with love :)
Very nice presented, nice staff.
But the location in Google maps (if you go directly via happy cow app) is not correct.
Tip it in Google maps and then it'll show you the exact location.
The dishes are inclined towards traditional Sri Lankan food. It's very healthy and cooked to perfection- mild and delicious. Vegan options are clearly marked and even the vegetarian options can be veganized, such as the burger. Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. Prices are very reasonable for a place like that- surprisingly so. Hopefully they will expand the menu since options are limited.
I went there with my daughter to have a breakfast. We wete told that the only option is a full breakfast menu for 1200 ruppies. We took it between us two.
If I remember correctly there were 3 dishes plus a drink.
I think we had a fruit platter for a starter, which was good. Then a semolina or something like that which wasń't tasty at all.
At the end we had kiribath. My daughter didn't want it because there was fried coconut with coconut treackle inside it but I liked it.
The place is very beautiful just on the site of a swimming pool.
@TabithaA that time it was £6 so even more in dollars, the rupee went down a lot since the bombing and after all covid propaganda, the review was written in 2019, that's the last time we went to Sri Lanka. In other places you could eat for about 200LKR so yes, 1200LKR was expensive.
We had delicious food in this Restaurant. The menu is fully vegetarian with many possibilities for vegans too. It was a surprise to find such a quality food with many creative options. Great chef. Highly recomended.

1200 rupees is about $3.50usd - are you sure you didn’t mean 120000?
