Best Bowl I’ve ever had! - Edit
The last we ate here was a year ago. We came for dinner. Which is a completely different menu. At night (4-9) it becomes an Asian fusion place called Xam Xam. Which I remember was delicious. This time it was giving California vibes. We ordered the only Vegan things on this menu, the Veggie Bowl and the Bean Soup. They have a full bar but I opted for the Hibiscus Lemonade which was as pretty as it was refreshing. My husband got a Corona.
Read moreWhen the food came (pretty quickly, I must say) it was as beautiful as my drink. The avocado was absolutely perfect and so were the roasted veggies. I wasn’t expecting the perfectly seasoned lentils at the bottom. My husband loves beans and he said the soup (more like a stew) was well seasoned and hardy.
I must say that the portion sizes were excellent. In fact, I couldn’t finish mine and had to get the rest to go. My husband was full as well.
My only complaint would be that they need more Vegan options on this menu because they know how to do them to perfection! we will definitely go back.
Pros: Food is as beautiful as it is delicious , Great portions, Delicious drinks
Cons: Difficult to find., Needs more Vegan options

A Must Visit in San Miguel de Allende! - Edit
One of my favorite places that never disappoints! I've been here numerous times and brought numerous people, and the food is always stellar, the service excellent, and the ambience very relaxed. You'll find lots of tourists and locals; both Mexicans and expats. It's a must enjoy!

Small little cafe with a few vegan options. I had the veggie bowl without cheese. It was very good, one of my top meals in SM.

Cheap drinks, great view, friendly staff - Edit
EDIT: After being charged WAY too much for dinner, we realized it had to be a mistake. The manager was super helpful and said our waiter was brand new and confused two tables’ bills. He gladly refunded us $35usd.
Read moreNow for the food. The spring roll was absolutely delicious! The ramen…eh. That’s what I get for ordering ramen in Mexico. Lol. The service is friendly and it’s an awesome spot for a few drinks on either of their patios looking over the hustle and bustle of San Miguel!

Great food and view - Edit
Some vegan choices. I had chilaqeres (vegan) with red sauce. It was really tasty. All of the components were separate from each other so I could combine as I wished. Would go again to try other things.

Best curry we've ever had - Edit
I’m so bummed I didn't get a chance to include this in my channel's video this week, but that just means I’ll have to come back! I went here on a date night in SMA and after one bite I wished I had come here first so I could have eaten my way through all their vegan options.
Read moreWe started with the vietnamese fresh rolls, which were so light and perfect! Then we had the Laab Gai and the Carrot Coconut Curry and lost our minds. The Laab Gai was great but the curry was the absolute star - it was so creamy and tasty and I seriously wanted like 5 more bowls.
We also got the jamaica margs, which were beautiful to look at and even better to drink 😊
The presentation is great and the rooftop seating is perfect for a cozy last night in SMA (they have three floors - so you can choose to sit inside if you'd like as well!). They have a totally different breakfast/brunch menu I didn't get to try, so I’ll be back for that!

Pros: Incredibly friendly service, The best curry we've ever had, Rooftop views!

When we went there was only one curry they said was vegetarian (the rest presumably had fish sauce) and it was truly terrible. The “burnt broccoli” was tasty, but the veg dumplings were not. Such a letdown!

Would Go Again - Edit
Our personal experience was good here. Service was great, and atmosphere was lovely. Ask to be seated all the way on the roof top. Curries were especially good. Some in our group were not as pleased (beef brisket for the meat eaters was not a hit) but we were happy with our food.

Okayish Asian-"inspired" dishes - Edit
This review is based on evening menu, which contained noodle and curry dishes - none of which stood out as particularly great (despite glowing reviews here). We went with group of 8, so numerous dishes were tried. Don't bother with the vegan dumplings, which were small and unsatisfactory. The noodle dishes were small, and were lacking in terms of taste, texture, and filling. Curry was better.

Pros: Several options to chose from, Atmosphere of restaurant, especially on roof

Inside cafe is a 5/5. BEST vegan dumplings I’ve ever had. Not a fully vegan restaurant but the best dinner we’ve had all month in SMA. Try the green curry or mushroom ramen, you won’t be let down

Great ambiance on the 2nd and story patio. Menu clearly lists all the items that can be made vegan. And staff were knowledgeable about vegan requirements and options. Great lunch spot!

Smashing - Edit
We ate here 4 times in 5 days. 😅 Hands down our favorite restaurant while visiting SMA. “The Smash” is delicious. At dinner, the menu is Asian, and you’ll have good options then too. The ramen and the green curry are both tasty.

Vegans: Get Your Butts Here Quick! - Edit
Holy smokes. I came here twice in one day and I was absolutely floored both times. In the morning I had El Smash and it was so delicious and filling (get it with the potatoes). The dinner menu was asian-themed and it offered rice dishes, ramens, and curries. I had the shitake ramen and it was legit one of the tastiest vegan ramens I've ever had (I'm pretty sure it was GF too).

I had a few things here but the smash bagel is the best. I was in San Miguel for 2 weeks and ate here everyday. They also have a menu that changes after 4pm and there are vegan options that are Asian style. (Dumplings, spring rolls, roasted carrots etc)
