Racist and classist waiters - Edit
Would not sit me and my sister despite our reservation because we were wearing simple clothes (we live nearby) but a foreign couple comes in and they were immediately seated even though we were still standing and it was 30minutes beyond our reservation already. The waiters, instead of saying sorry, berated us.

Gnot bad at all - Edit
I kicked myself when I realised late in the piece that we’d been overlooking this cafe. Located upstairs in the building right beside Cosmic, it is a little confusing to search for. The space is done up with a combination of cave-like stuccoed walls, neon lighting, and metallic ‘space-age’ furniture. Staff are super friendly. We came here for a couple of meals. Although mocktails are not typically my thing, they had some pretty ones that were also quite tasty, mixed professionally, albeit at alcoholic cocktail prices. I appreciated their refreshing iced teas and sodas, particularly the kiwi-apple ginger beer. Foodwise, the tantanmien stood out for me: it was creamy and absolutely delicious and they even accommodated my companion by putting the spice on the side. The dumplings were also very tasty and rich in their sauce. I enjoyed the subtly flavoured nasi goreng, but the mushroom pizza, while tasty enough, had some issues with texture. Their signature apple pie was just disappointing: crumbly and dry with no ice cream or anything to counteract this. On a positive note, the business is connected to Odd Cafe and serves its coffee and some other drinks, which we enjoyed. This is a cool place with a nice vibe and good food and definitely a place to check out if you’re in Manila. #Veganuary

Vegan sigsig - Edit
Llegamos tarde y no nos dan de comer pero nos ofrecen vegan sigsig para llevar al hotel (lo tenemos cerca) y ha sido el sigsig más sabroso. Hoy volveremos a cenar ahí antes de dejar el país.

Super cool - Edit
Super cool vegan and non-alcoholic bar in Población. Loved the laksa and their kimchi is really good. Also, of course, a pletoria of fun mocktails to try out. Recommended ! :)

Fun new kid in town - Edit
Gnostic is a very small place with a great vibe. (Check out their Insta.) They’re a fully vegan dry bar with some tasty meal options (soups, pasta, pizza, and sides) and delicious desserts.
Read moreI really liked the Vutter Cream Miso pasta. It had a savory creamy mushroom sauce but was very garlicky (4⭐️); throwing some steamed broccoli or other veg on top would definitely make it a full 5⭐️. The Agedashi tofu was also pretty good (4⭐️). My husband liked, but didn’t love, the Laksa (3⭐️), and I felt the same about my drink, my Pink Rosas Mojito. I preferred his Spiced Apple Cider (4⭐️). They also serve coffee which I’m eager to try next time.
Their apple pie and v-egg pie were quite a treat though (both 5⭐️)! However, we didn’t like the nori cookie at all.
Overall, this is a cute place with tasty vegan comfort food that will be in our monthly rotation.
NB: At night, this place is packed. You’ll have an easier time getting a table at lunch.
