Delicious and so very much food

This is one of many vegetarian restaurants in the temple district and the first we have visited (January 2020). The food was excellent, and the serving sizes made us glad of the takeaway option. We had a delicious mock-lamb dish and, on the hearty recommendation of a staff member, deep fried lotus root. The lotus root was tasty, but the heavy batter makes it one we'd recommend for one plate shared between at least four people.
They were very busy on our first visit and with good reason. Although this meant they were a little short-staffed, the food was served in good time, and the waiter had a warm, patient smile the whole time. On our second visit (a Saturday), it was much less busy, but the same waiter still had her lovely permanent smile on. Even when we've shown up close to closing time, she has been warm and accommodating and patient with our fumbling Chinese
The decor is simple but tasteful, with Buddhist themes and there are plants in the window to make it extra welcoming. The main dining area is nicely decorated.
They also sell a few packaged mock meats and other vegetarian foods.
