Great little alternative cafe - Edit
Cute little vinyl cafe in York, offering vegan grilled cheese sandwiches and coffees. Vinyls for sale in the cafe and a cute vintage decor. Very hipster

Delicious toasted sandwiches - Edit
Have been here twice now for the vegan toasties - I always have the all day breakfast, vegan version, which is mushrooms, baked beans, vegan sausage and melted vegan cheese in a toastie. It's divine! My wife has enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast toastie and the Mexican one. My sister-in-law tried the 'Prefab Sprout' toastie today and said it was great. The café has a good atmosphere, with some vinyls and CDs to peruse, and the staff are friendly. They seen very COVID aware and clean things well between customers.
Read moreWent back and tried some different toasties, which were all delicious. Also had some banana and chocolate cake. They provided a high chair for our baby, and some books and toys, really sweet.

Great brunch spot - Edit
We were stuck for breakfast options and stumbled upon FortyFive. I'm so glad we did!
Read moreThey've got a quirky toastie menu, most of which can be made vegan. I had the sausage smokestack and my husband had the all day breakfast. The coffee was nice, with the choice of oat or soya milk. Really pleased to see so many vegan choices.
Also, the staff were really friendly and this place has a great vibe overall.
Pros: Lots of vegan options and vegan swaps, Cool venue, Friendly staff

Cosy, relaxed cafe. - Edit
Warm and cosy place on a cold November afternoon. I had a really tasty cheese, hash brown and vegan sausage toastie,y husband has the avocado one. Both delicious and served drinks in mugs, not cups.

For the record - Edit
We visited here for a vegan breakfast but sadly they had no 'vegan' bread and couldn't even do a side of beans, as they are cooked between bread. Work that one out... Instead all we could get was a sausage muffin, which was ok but not really what we had hoped for. Shame as the girl serving us was very friendly and I love vinyls. Probably wouldn't visit again.
