Plenty of choice!

So many yummy choices for vegans! The falafels are delicious. Dangerously delicious pies

Pros: Lots of vegan options

My Favorite Place to Eat on Sundays!

Located under the freeway, the market is a short walk from the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. You have to go past a slightly shady area (the red light district) but I've never had problems.

Great vegan options - falafel wrap available on collards or wheat wrap, mushroom burrito with coconut rice and beans (hold the eggs and cheese), grilled portobello in a pita or on a bed of greens and quinoa, vegan pies from Dangerously Delicious, and some vegan baked goods (mostly bread.)

Pros: Fresh , Knowledgable about vegan options - ask!

Cons: Wait times

Never miss it

Along with great produce from a number of farmers, the cooked food at this market makes for a great Sunday morning feast. Go early and get in line at "the bean guy," as the season progresses he has green and black-eyed and butter and crowder peas, speckled and dixie butter beans, baby and large limas, black and kidney and northern beans... the list is endless and we live on them out of the freezer all year round. Just down from him is the real treat of the market: the mushroom lady. Along with fresh wild mushrooms, she has mushroom chile, risotto, soup, and our favorite: oyster mushroom fritters with feta and mesclun and homemade hot sauce.

It's going to be a long wait for April and the next farmer's market season.

Pros: Abundant choices, produce and cooked food, local farmers

Cons: crowded, some vendors resell from stores, no dogs allowed
