Cute little place - Edit
Nicely decorated with with rustic vibe, log burner, sacks & bikes. Had clearly labelled vegan options: sandwiches, soup burger, cakes etc. Ordered potato and leek soup, cappuccinos & rocky road. Really tasty especially the chunky brown bread. Some of the food is quite pricey but the portions look big. Visited further times and got drinks and a berry crumble which was nice. Has free off street parking #Veganuary

A warm welcome - Edit
Visited this welcoming cafe a few days ago and had a hearty vegan meal of carrot and lentil soup and a portobello mushroom sandwich and fries. It looks pricey but that’s because portions are enormous! Everything was really tasty and the staff were super friendly, anxious that we had a good meal. Wish I’d had room for the delicious-looking cake!

Hearty & tasty! - Edit
A hidden gem tucked a little further down the main street of Pitlochry… we tried all the vegan items on the menu, a vegan burger, a mushroom ciabatta, a delicious hummus and roasted pepper sandwich (on thick soft bread) and lentil & veg soup… everything was lovely. They confirmed that the daily soup is always vegan, and there was a crumble slice at the counter that we were too full to try. Prices much the same as the rest of Pitlochry (quite expensive!). This one is definitely worth hunting and we’ll be back.

Lovely café with plenty of vegan options - Edit
We called into the Escape Route Café for a spot of lunch after a quick romp up nearby Ben Vrackie. It's a nice spot close to the centre of Pitlochry, with plenty of seating both indoors and out. The sun was shining so we grabbed a seat outside. We were soon welcomed by a friendly waitress who talked us through the vegan options. There was plenty to choose from, including a tasty sweet chilli ch*cken ciabatta which I very much enjoyed. There's also a burger, a portobello mushroom ciabatta and a BBQ chickpea sandwich. The soup of the day is also vegan. I believe they also have vegan breakfast options earlier in the day. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Lovely, cosy cafe - Edit
Enjoyed breakfast at the Escape route cafe. There is the option to have a full vegan breakfast or a filled roll. I chose to have a roll with potato scone and veggie sausages which were homemade and really lovely. Filled with veg rather than meat replacement sausages. I had breakfast tea with alpro barista oat milk and would have been tempted to get the vegan raspberry slice out of the cake cabinet if it hadn't been so early.

Tasty cycle themed cafe - Edit
Options - cauliflower ‘scampi’ and chips, ciabatta with chips and salad, vegan burger. Not everything was available so we had a mixture of soup, hummus and roast veg sandwich/toastie and chips. All tasty and fresh. We sat outside initially which is covered and quieter but came inside as the wasps showed too much interest for my liking. Spacious, friendly, dogs welcome. At least one vegan sweet offering on display too.

🌱 PLANTBASED BREAKFAST
💰: £10.95
💭: This included hash brown, potato scone, beans, two sausages, two cooked tomatoes, brown toast and mixed fried veg (red & yellow pepper with courgette). Vegan sausage were veggie type but best I've ever had and I'm never keen on veg sausage.
🤷🏽♀️: Order again? Yes

Nice atmosphere and great vegan options, such as fake chicken burrito, vegan burger with vegan applewood cheese and vegetable soup. There are also a nice range of biscuits and cakes.

No vegan options as of 8/8/20 - Edit
Asked about vegan options and they said that they were not doing any vegan options at the moment. They said they could do a vegan sausage sandwhich but couldn't guarentee the bread didn't have milk in it, so we declined.

Vegan Breakfast - Edit
Stopped here enroute to Inverness. Was impressed with the options albeit limited, staff were very friendly when inquiring about vegan options. Would say a tad too much oil on the fried veg but overall a great breakfast would visit again if passing through.
