High quality vegan options - Edit
Tried 4 out of 5 of their can be made vegan options and also their fully vegan desert! All of the food was great and was probably the best vegan meal I’ve had in Denver. They were very thorough about the replacements and even double checked with me about whether the honey included in one of the dishes was okay with me. I definitely recommend El Five for a fancy dinner.

Wonderful experience - Edit
Confused by the previous bad review, because this place has actual delicious vegan options (although not a ton of options) and the most INCREDIBLE vegan mushroom paella. The service seems to have definitely improved, because our server was very vegan-aware and careful not to mess my order up. As the only vegan in our omnivore group, I really enjoyed my meal. The ambience is upscale with some really great views.
Read moreWe tried a bunch of stuff. A “V” on the menu denotes a vegan-by-request item. For tapas we got the vegan Patatas Bravas - made vegan by omitting the garlic aioli and substituting garlic toum sauce 🙌🏼 - and the Harissa eggplant fries, with a maple glaze instead of honey and the yogurt dip on the side. The harissa eggplant fries were sooo good!!! And the Mushroom Paella.. OMG. Incredible!!! This was the absolute highlight for me. They served the cheese and eggs on the side to keep it vegan. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and they even brought out a complimentary small vegan dessert, a kind of hazelnut torte. Wonderful experience overall. #Veganuary

Wanted to Love It - Edit
While the views are incredible and the setting upscale, I was disappointed with the lack of service for vegans.
Read moreThere’s a couple of options that can be made vegan and they messed them all up. On top of that, not only was the waiter not helpful/accommodating about it but was borderline rude instead.
I ended up pushing the dairy & egg sauces to the side and eating what I could. Definitely not what you hope for with such an expensive meal.
Pros: View / setting
Cons: Not vegan-friendly, Not accommodating , Very expensive
