Decent airport option - Edit
Really decent food, good portions, and lots of choice. The pho was simple but tasty, and the fried tofu was great!

Good for airport food - Edit
Big portions and clearly labeled menu options here. I'd say this is a pretty great option when at the airport. It is also one of your only options. It's before check-in, at terminal 2 (international), so you can just walk in.
Read moreWe ended up having pho, fried rice and the fried tofu. However afterwards we were both unsure if egg was maybe used in the tofu as a binding, we were already gone so If anyone else can double check that would be great.
The tofu in the pho is plain, unfried, we liked that after a month of fried but I can imagine it is a bummer for some people.

Veg*n Options in Airport Before Security Control - Edit
Omni eatery with 3 pages of vegetarian options in the menu (contains alliums by default). Thankful that the staff was friendly and open to customisation; e.g. I said that if there was any egg in the dish, I would appreciate it if they could switch to tofu, and they did so at no extra charge. Food was pretty good; debunking my wrong assumption that airport food is always expensive and bad. Would recommend this eatery for those looking for a place in the airport (located before security control) that can accommodate both omni and veg*n companions.

Can I ask you why you use v*gan? I've seen it in a couple of your other reviews and am curious ☺️

Worth it - Edit
Big portions (I had the fried tofu with vegetables and rice) and service was quick too. Staff spoke English and good thing for someone like we who was at the airport to catch a bus, the place is before security control.

Good option for the airport - Edit
When you are in the main area of Hanoi International Airport, you cannot really miss this restaurant. It is located very prominently in the upstairs area.
Read moreThere are quite a few vegetarian options on the menu and the staff speak English well, so it was easy to ask about egg and milk. We shared the fried vermicelli, the fried tofu and the fried spring rolls between us. While the food was not the best we had in Vietnam and a bit boring compared to what we usually had on this trip, it was still ok and actually quite good for a meal at the airport. It was also very pleasant to find a meal at the airport that was not just fries!
The staff were friendly and the restaurant has a real "restaurant feeling" about it which is also quite nice considering the airport location.

Standard airport food - Edit
Just your typical airport food. Reasonable prices here (cheaper than a lot of places in the city). Good portions as well. Rice with veg, tofu and peanuts was okay. Not loads of flavour and veg was cold, but good for airport food. The deep fried tofu was actually very nice, but not nice enough to rescue the rice and veg.
