Very good vegetarian buffet

Spotlessly clean, very good service, excellent selection hot and cold. Desserts are very good.
Also a selection of free drinks with the buffet.

Pros: Lots of selection hot and cold, Noodles can be freshly prepared., Good selection of desserts and vegan ice cream

Best place for veggie buffet

Wonderful restaurant, loved everything about it. I found it on Happy Cow and I wasn’t disappointed. My 5 and 6 year olds ate for free! The selection is amazing, fresh and well presented dishes with special drinks and desserts that would make any sugar lover crazy. Best meal so far in my visit to Taiwan.

Good all you can eat

Well labeled vegan food, good taste, friendly staff, many vegan options when I was there (just ask if you can take a look at the buffet before asking for a table)

Pros: Many options

Cons: Bit pricey

Average for vegans

This place is average for vegans, but paradise for vegetarians. Everything I had tasted good, but there were far, far less options for vegans and dairy in things where it wasn’t necessary, like in the paella. They didn’t even have vegan sushi, but the staff was kind enough to make me some. It was pretty good, but they didn’t put any rice in it😒just a ton of sprouts and some veggies. I still appreciate that they made me something. The vegan choices for dessert were red bean stuffed Mochi, coffee jello, and fruit. The desserts were good, but I love chocolate and was sad to see all the non-vegan chocolate options that I couldn’t eat. Due to the price of this place ($15) and lack of vegan options, I won’t be back again. If you are vegan, I recommend going to one of the regular veggie buffets instead where you can eat almost everything for around $3. If you want fruit for dessert, you can buy some for cheap on almost every street. Besides being vegetarian, another reason someone might consider going to this place is if they can’t handle oily food. Most of the food here wasn’t not oily.

TLDR: great for vegetarians or people with oily food issues, not worth it for vegans.

Pros: Great for VEGETARIANS

Cons: Not many vegan options, Expensive

Overrated

Tried the dinner buffet - mostly vegetarian with VERY limited vegan options, although most dishes can be easily made vegan. Food category is well-labeled. Expensive, almost 900 TW dollar for two. Nice environment and good service though.

P/S checked with staff on breakfast option. Didn't try, staff said breakfast is also a buffer but stationed with flesh of dead bodies.

Pros: Location, Nice environment, Great service

Cons: Expensive. , Limited vegan options, Possible cross contaminations

No vegan options for breakfast

Went in there in December 2019. All the vegetarian breakfast options had cheese or egg. Nothing I could eat there. I ended up crossing the road to 7-Eleven to get bananas and soy milk as my breakfast instead.
My rating of 2 stars is thus not applicable if there are lunch or dinner options (I'm not sure about these).

Good but not amazing veg buffet

Read more in this vegan Kaohsiung guide: https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-kaohsiung-guide/

Double Veggie Buffet is another vegetarian buffet in Kaohsiung. The lunch and dinner buffets are vegetarian while the breakfast buffet serves meat unfortunately. In the morning, only about 20-30% of the dishes are vegan.

Most of the dishes are marked clearly, indicating whether it’s vegan, vegetarian, or contains meat. However, some sauces and toppings are not marked properly. I’ve asked the staff but most of the sauces don’t seem to be vegan. So it may be safer to avoid them.

In the lunch and dinner buffet, you can find dishes from different countries. The variety is good; about 25-30 dishes are vegan. But comparing to the Fruitful Food Buffet, the vegan options are noticeably not as abundant.

However, some parts of this buffet can be improved. Only 1 out of 6 salads are vegan, and none of the pizzas or ice cream are vegan are a bit disappointing.

Overall it’s a good buffet for vegans and would be nice to try if you are in the area.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Attentive and polite staff

Cons: Not as many vegan options as expected

Excellent food!

Restaurant is easy to find, in the same building as Just Sleep. Waiters are super nice. Incredible variety of food to choose from. Bit pricey but absolutely worth it. Paid around 480 at night.
Best food we've had in Taiwan so far!

Clean, trendy, lots of options

Very good experience. There is lots to choose from including salads, soup, entrees, noodles, rice, pizza, desserts. Great drinks. Staff is very helpful. Price is reasonable for all you can eat buffet. Also this is inside of a hotel.

Okay buffet

Overall, it is a nice buffet with items for vegans clearly marked 全素. However, there is not that wide a range of food and a good portion is fried meals. There is fruit, ice cream (not vegan) and some cakes (3 were vegan including the jelly). The price 485 per person, which is okay but a wee bit expensive.

Pros: All you can eat, Vegan options clearly marked

Cons: Lack of variety
