Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant that offers a full vegan menu, in addition to their standard fare. Vegan breakfast offerings include a Bombay-inspired English breakfast with vegan sausages, porridge with soy milk, coconut yoghurt with fresh vanilla pod and fruits. The daytime vegan menu includes small plates (e.g., puffed rice snacks, samosas, fried okra), chickpea curries, grilled spiced potatoes, salad plates, sides and flavored shaved ice for dessert. Restaurant gets busy; long waits can be possible. Restaurant has other UK branches. May 2019 reported new menu with substantially increased number of vegan options. Open Mon-Sun 09:00-23:00.

Great food - Edit
I’ve been to Dishoom many times now. Always happy with their service respect for vegans and the choices. I also like the fact that they have non-alcoholic beverages like the watermelon Shabbat. Will definitely return one day for breakfast.

Vegan menu available - Edit
The regular menu mentions a vegan menu is available upon request. Requested it and the waiter quickly returned with a different card with many vegan options. Selected a number of smaller plates to share. Great food, enjoyed it a lot. Nice ambiance and cheerful staff too.

Good selection - Edit
Went with my omni brother before a gig at the Palladium. Nice choice of vegan dishes although didn't like some dishes had some items taken off them to make them vegan rather than offering an alternative. Was well and truly stuffed by the end!

My second favourite Indian restaurant - Edit
I love the decor and atmosphere of Dishoom. I do wish they did more than one vegan curry or added a dahl but said they have plenty of other sides and dishes to keep interest. I recommend their chickpea curry, paper thin roti, bowl of greens and gunpowder potatoes.

if wes anderson made a restaurant… - Edit
…it would resemble dishoom carnaby. Worth visiting this place for the ambiance alone. Lots of mirrors, shiny wood, glowing lights, excellent soundtrack. Vegan options are tasty and outside of what I expected in the best possible way. If that wasn’t enough: bottomless oat milk chai. Separate vegan menu. Recommended.

Very poor breakfast - Edit
I’ve always been a little skeptical of Dishoom. Eating dinner there is okay - the food is decent and there are good vegan options - but the queues and wait to get in are a pain and somewhat unfathomable; there are far better Indian restaurants in London.
Read moreBut when I had a morning meeting nearby I thought I’d give their breakfast menu a go. There was no queue and I ordered a vegan breakfast naan. Despite the fact there were only a handful of us in the restaurant this took 30 minutes to arrive and when it did I was completely nonplussed by the food. The vegan sausage, described in the menu as ‘lovingly created with a blend of spices to deliver an umami hit’ was as bland as any budget frozen fare. The naan was dense and rubbery. I gave up after eating half.
It would have been 10 times cheaper and taken a tenth of the time to be served if I’d gone to the Greggs round the corner. I’m no fan of Greggs but their sausage roll would have been far more palatable.
Awful! The worst vegan breakfast I’ve had.

It’s Dishoom, so good - Edit
Typical Dishoom, quality food, quality service, quality fun restaurants. Nothing to fault, my go to for Indian. They have a dedicated vegan menu and the staff explain everything very well.

Lovely breakfast - Edit
We went for breakfast here, They’ve got a separate vegan menu. I got the vegan Bombay and a bottomless oat chai (free refills). It was very good! The beans were nice and spicy, I also loved the mushrooms and vegan black pudding. Only the sausages were bit sour to my taste…

Go for breakfast - Edit
They have a separate veg/vegan menu now and I think the breakfasts are far far better than the lunch/evening food. The tofu scramble is delicious and I like the vegan black pudding too. It's nice to see they've added dairy-free chai to the menu - now just make it refillable like the dairy one please!

Good, not great - Edit
I had the thali, had to ask for a vegan version (wasn't on the menu). It was good, a relatively big dish, but not a place I'd recommend for vegans.

Dishoom - Edit
This is my favorite Dishoom location...because it's in Carnaby. In summer you can eat outside and people watch tourists and locals, and the area is full of energy. For this I've added another half star.
Read morePeople really love, or are really disappointed by, Dishoom. I think there's a bit of level-setting as to what you can expect here. Firstly, Dishoom is not a typical Indian restaurant, so if you're having a craving for your favorite Indian dish you can find at almost any Indian restaurant, check Dishoom's menu first! Dishoom offer elevated, creative, and sometimes unique dishes and it seems they continue to add more vegan options (e.g., they recently added mango lassi and naan). The black daal made vegan is delicious, as is the gunpowder potatoes dish. Samosas are a great option too. You'll also find many dishes at Dishoom that you likely will not find at other Indian restaurants. It's a great experience and a good place to have a meal at a nice restaurant.

Over-hyped and over-priced - Edit
A thoroughly mediocre breakfast at a high price. The ‘masala beans’ were meant to be Indian style but tasted and looked like bland Tesco Value beans. The home-made vegan buns were dry and came with no spread. So many better options in London and nowhere near the mark for a £13.50 breakfast. Style over substance, not even worth visiting as a novelty.

Offers separate vegan menu upon request, tons of great vegan options. Also offers tons of small plates, great for sharing with a group. As some other reviews said, there can be a bit of a long wait, but the food is definitely worth it.

Amazing food - Edit
Such great food and plenty of vegan options.
Read moreI got a couple of smaller dishes and shared it with my friend which worked out well for portion sizes.
However it is expensive and there is always a long wait - sometimes around an hour long before you can be seated to eat. But you can go for drinks outside beforehand whilst you wait.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: Expensive , Always a long queue and long waiting time

Wow, so glad we found this place! The vegan soy keema no eedu was a particular highlight - sweet spicy soy mince topped with crispy potato flakes and served with homemade vegan buns.

Love this place so so so much! Has an separate vegan menu with good choice! I had the Bombay breakfast which was very yummy! It had vegan black pudding, sausages, spicy beans, home made bread, tomato and mushrooms. We really enjoyed it and my omni boyfriend preferred my food to his. Would highly recommend. You have to ask for the vegan menu but it’s big enough to make this a vegan menu in its own right! The Bombay Vegan breakfast is probably the best I’ve ever head and includes vegan sausages and black pudding! Not to be missed
