Nice spot

Very nice location just by kingly court in Soho. Unfortunately I think I picked the wrong dishes as everything was quite dry. The flavours were still delicious. I wasn't the biggest fan of the roti but really enjoyed the other two dishes albeit were a bit small. If I come again I'll make sure to get a curry with sauce.

Decent Sri lanken

My first taste of Sri lanken food! Decent vegetarian options could do more vegan though. Nice outdoor seating out front of restaurant.

This Sri Lankan restaurant is chefs kiss* 👩‍🍳💋

I will be going back in a hurry to try more of their vegan dishes (yep, they have plenty of options 🥹)

This evening, I had;

Red split lentil Dhal - cooked in coconut milk and turmeric, and finished with tempered spices

Basmati rice 🍚

Pol roti - Coconut flat bread with diced shallot and green chilli

Pol Sambol small salad - scraped coconut muddled with red chilli
and onion

Everything was sensational!

Pros: Decor is stunning , Food is really delicious , Staff are friendly

Wish I could give it 5⭐️

Without being too gushing I love kolamba. Sri Lankan food is incredible and Kolamba is one of the best restaurants doing it. Loads of vegan options with the cashew curry and the beans with coconut particular favourites. They used to do a pineapple dish which I think about constantly, it was sweet, sour, spicy and just pure yum!

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Excellent Food, Small Portions

The food was great, the flavor of each dish we ordered was amazing. Omni friends loved the vegan dishes we got to share. Good selection of vegan options, felt like I had a few different choices. Main con is that it’s expensive, especially given that the portions are on the smaller side. Spent £30/pp and left feeling a little hungry still!

Tasty, but few choices

We were initially tempted to eat next door as we’ve had good experiences there, but when we smelled and saw some of the food arriving for a couple sat outdoors at Kolamba we quickly decided to give this place a chance and weren’t disappointed!

We had 2 small dishes, the tomato sambol, which was a spicy, fresh tomato salad and the String Hoppers with Kiri Hodhi and Pol Sambol (noodles with curry sauce and what I would describe as a desiccated coconut salad). Though small, the meal gave us a good indication of Sri Lankan flavours and was really tasty.

I’d really recommend visiting if you’re in the area to try something different, though beware that the food is quite hot (and I like spicy food) and that there aren’t that many vegan options.

Pros: Tasty food, Interesting and well presented

Cons: Not many vegan choices, A bit too spicy

Kolamba - 4 Stars

The vegan breadfruit curry was delicious.

This restaurant is in the heart of the Carnaby restaurants, so a great spot to check out if you're in the area.

I'm going back

The food is spicy but for some maybe too spicy. The food has do much flavour and I can really taste the Sri Lankan inspiration. I have a the curried jack fruit, dhal, roti and rice and it was enough to share between two people. We didn't order drinks. Those who are sticking to budget ot came to around £30. We felt so full and I didn't eat again for hours.

Pros: Flavoursome Food, Different vegan options, Reasonable price

Cons: No Cons I loved everything
