Horrible - Edit
I made a happy cow account just to give this place a negative review. I only went here bc I'm traveling with non vegan family. Their menu has more options listed than they actually have available. The only thing they had was the tofu scramble so I ordored that. It was literally watery raw tofu. Like not cooked. My sister is a vegetarian and they put bacon in her omlette. We called and asked for a refund.

Bland and not really worth it - Edit
It's nice to see a place offer vegan breakfast, but it really wasn't great. Tofu was bland and portions were tiny.
Read moreA Broken Angel has terrific all vegan options if you're down for a food cart. Otherwise, the Victorian has a much better breakfast bowl. Mcmenamins downtown can do the breakfast tofu burrito without butter. Worst case, Market of Choice has great to go vegan breakfast options if you get there early enough.
Apparently their vegetarian options are pretty good (so I was told) but their vegan one isn't worth it at all. Try one of the other places instead.
Pros: They have tofu
Cons: Expensive, Not very good

Misleading menu - Edit
They have a basic tofu scramble and potatoes. But the pancakes and Bloody Mary are advertised as vegan but not actually vegan- they have milk products and fish oil. So that was disappointing.

Hot and miss - Edit
The Vegan pumpkin pancakes were fluffy, thick, and to die for one time. Two other times they were thin, sour tasting, and horrible. Menu does not label Vegan things - you have to talk to wait staff. Roasted sweet potatoes way too salty.

Long wait, expensive for what you get - Edit
The restaurant was mostly empty and the wait was long. No vegan menu, need to sub anything with tofu. Large rectangular pieces of tofu fried with no seasoning.

Cons: No vegan menu, despite what their menu says, Long wait, Expensive — $3 to “substitute” avocado

Something for everyone! - Edit
While visiting a family member in Bend we went to brunch at Chow. I ordered the warm multigrain salad with sweet potatoes and it was so simple, delicious, and filing! I was pleasantly surprised to feel like I ate such a nutritious meal while some of the others at my table enjoyed more traditional breakfast plates.

Fresh and satisfying - Edit
While Chow doesn't offer a wide variety of raw or vegan options, their food is extremely fresh. They offer a daily raw chef special and you never know what you're going to get, but it's always amazing. They incorporate ingredients you'd never think to combine and it always leaves you satisfied or wanting more. I especially love that they support local.
