Serves meat, vegan options available. Japanese restaurant with vegan options for vegetable sushi rolls. Egg is used in tempura batter but staff will reportedly pan fry vegetables for vegans upon request. Open Tue-Sat 5:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Sun-Mon.

Best veggie rolls in town

Try the Akira! This place is the only one I've seen in Bend that actually put some thought and creativity into their veggie rolls. Their Akira and Shogun rolls are really good, as are the inari and seaweed salads. The other veggie rolls are OK, but at least they're more interesting than the generic cucumber and asparagus rolls. Quality ingredients and good food.

Beware that some veggie sounding things (like the green beans appetizer) may not actually be vegetarian, using fish sauce or other ingredients. Ask your server to make sure.

All in all, a great place for veggie sushis in a town that doesn't have other options. Not big city good, but entirely decent!

Fresh & Tasty

Definitely try Kanpai - several veggie/vegan options. High quality and creative ingredients, well presented and delicious!
We had edamame & Sunomono Salad along with the Avocado, Akira (spicy tofu), Super veggie & Shogun rolls. Sooo yummy!!
