Lovely food & choice for vegans

Tried here for brunch after a walk as heard they had vegan options. Plenty of choice & I had the avocado sourbread toast which was delicious & a good size portion. Then had to try one of the vegan cakes which melted in my mouth, it was the raspberry, lemon & coconut. Will be returning to try the lunch menu. Quaint cafe good service friendly staff & delicious food=result!

Pros: 6 vegan cakes to choose from !

Cons: None

Takeaway was good

Yummy sausage sandwich and coffee, just be prepared to wait a while when it’s busy as it was quite slow! Nice staff though

Good, but slow!

Avoid busy times, or go before you are hungry! Tasty food and reasonably priced. If you want to sit indoors, once you have finished queuing on the pavement, you can wait indoors on a bench and read the menus. Your order is taken when you move to a table but even that stage seems to take ages! Vegan soup was delivered with butter and so had to ask for it to be swapped, although I had ordered the vegan option. Companions were pleased with their pasties, mash and gravy. Recommend trying here randomly mid morning or mid afternoon perhaps :). Alternatively sit outside which may avoid such long waits.

Pros: Reasonably priced

Cons: Slow!

Yummy food, great service, interesting venue!

We have lovely vegan breakfasts here, followed by vegan cake. It was yummy, the cafe itself is full of character, dog friendly and the staff are wonderful. Then afterwards we took a lovely stroll beside the sea!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great location and lovely quirky interior, Friendly staff

Cons: On busy days might have to wait for a table, Parking could be difficult when busy

Just the spot

Lovely, friendly tearoom with excellent views of the Northumbrian coast if you happen to sit outside. We just stopped off for a takeaway lunch and ordered the vegan cheese and sundried tomato chutney panini and Cumberland sausage stottie, which were very flavoursome indeed and reasonably priced considering the location. We also got a latte and Americano to go, which were great too. Well worth a visit.

Pros: Tasty vegan options, Staff , Location

Cons: Serves meat
