Great Vegan Breakfast Bowls - Edit
Had breakfast there twice. The Café offers 6 or 7 Smoothie Bowls that can all optionally be made vegan and some whole grain sandwiches. A bit more expensive than other restaurants around, but worth it. Also the coffee is good and strong.

Although vegan options are limited, probably the best choice in Cat Ba. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan food. Went back three times had the pho, pad Thai and vegan burger. All were quite tasty.

Strolled up and was merrily greeted by several staff, and guided upstairs to the gorgeous green balcony of hanging plants. Excited to see so many options. Ordered veggie burger because others had recommended it.

Two entrees, two cocktails (1 free for happy hour), and an appetizer for about 230k vnd. Bonus: bamboo straws (which they sell, as well)

Awesome restaurant with many delicious vegan options - Edit
This restaurant is a must-go-to place if you're on Cat Ba. We went there 4 times, our favourites being:
Read more- the burger (f***ing good, just ask without mayo); take sweet potato fries with it
- smoothies (!)
- tofu in tomato sauce (sooooo good)
- veggie coconut curry.
Many vegan options and some vegetarian dishes can be made vegan, for example the burger. The staff speaks english (!) and understands what "vegan" means; the only thing was that they put mayo on the burger even though we asked for no animals products. Unfortunately, most Vietnamese people don't know mayo isn't vegan.
The location is good, the place is awesome, there are many plants and the athmosphere is nice.
The price is good, very good for some dishes but less so for others. For example, we didn't take a smoothie bowl because it was tiny and very expensive in comparison.
But definitely go there! And try the burger!
Pros: fresh and delicious vegan food, many vegan options, staff speaks english!
Cons: more pricey than other restaurants, but worth it!, egg mayo on burger

Read moreWe had a Pho, the coconut Curry, summer rolls and a green mango salad (all vegan) and it was really delicious.
Additionally we used the opportunity to order a jar of infused water with a bamboo straw to avoid plastic trash. A cool thing, especially when you see how many plastic bottles are laying around/ at the beach of Cat Ba.
The Staff was super friendly and spoke proper English,
we had a great view from the rooftop and the whole restaurant looked super clean.
When we paid, the door to the kitchen was open and it also looked hygienic from the distance.
To my mind the best restaurant in Cat Ba so far.

Delicious vegetarian/vegan food and shakes! Me and my partner have been here 5 times in two days. There is great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, funny and relaxed. Also speak quite good English! It’s a very reasonable price for the quality and we would say this is the best restaurant in Cat Ba. Tho it’s not fully vego restaurant as they serve a small amount of non-veg food, but I feel like they do take it very seriously. Highly recommended!

We found this place on our last night in Cat Ba! The location on happy cow seems a bit off on my maps, basically get to the location on maps then continue to walk up the street and you’ll find the restaurant on your right. They have a page dedicated to vegan and veggie options and both me and my partner had the veggie burger . Just make sure to specify no egg no mayo. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Also they have almond milk so you can enjoy a smoothie or milkshake, the Oreo is yum, and they use bamboo straws which gives them major points! Overall a lovely setting for dinner.

The main guy in charge is so friendly, has a lovely smile and was so accommodating! The staff are great, one even took me on his bike to an ATM (thank you)! The food is delicious and the vibe and atmosphere is unbeaten. You have to go here!

Great meal in Cat Ba! - Edit
Went here on my first night in Cat Ba. Super cozy place with wonderful rooftop terrace. The Vegetarian dishes were very reasonably priced (about 50k each) so we had 4. Pad Thai (asked without egg), steamed veggies, tofu in tomato sauce and papaya salad were all delicious and came quickly. Unfortunately the electricity on the island was out at the time of our dinner so we couldn't have a chocolate banana milk shake (with almond milk). Will definitely come back for that!

I had a Thai tomyum noodle soup and a cocktail. Then came back again for yogurt with homemade granola. Everything was so lovely and tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very friendly with the smiley staffs, good chill music and trees all around.

Read more1. The legendary Veggies burger: It's 100% home-made, i visit there bakery where they bake the burger buns. It's actually free to enter, no prohibition. Everything in the bakery is spotless. Knowing well of what I'm eating make the food taste better. The burger patty is made from tofu, carrot and peas. A perfect combination of the chef.
2. All the Casa'special smoothies are worth trying. Very good, very tasty and healthy.

What can a fruitarian eat in this restaurant?
Read more1. Smoothie bowls: Mapple Joe Nutty Nana and Carrot cake are two of my favorite food at Casa Bonita, it's suitable for me every moment of the day.
2. Fresh fruits teas: Rose apple tea is the best tea ever with dried rose buds and fresh diced apples, coming after is Golden mango tea with green tea mix with fresh dice sweet mango and mango juice. They got around 5 other types of tea, but I just sticked with those 2 teas during my stay at Catba.
3. Fresh fruits salad: they have 4 types of fruits in a salad bowls, you can choose among home-made yogurt, honey or maple syrup if you are a vegan.
I'm a fruitarian and it's more than happy to eat fruits in different styles than just going to the market, buying fresh fruits then peel and eat during the travelling.

- Many healthy drinks to choose: flower and fresh fruit teas. Lychee and jazmine tea is a must try.
- They also have maple syrup using instead of honey for vegan.

Came here every meal during 3 days in Cat Ba and found out the Tofu and veggies burgers, potatoes and cheese balls and the bulk up the drinks were my favorites of all time.

I had the veggies with sesame and also the tofu with tomato sauce. Both were great (specially the last one). The restaurant is nice and the last floor is really quite and cozy. The staffs are the most friendly ones!
