Soooo good! - Edit
We loved our food, and we're surprised by some not-so-good reviews..we thought like this was our first actually healthy meal in Vietnam. Loved the good so much we thought we would disrespect it with a KitKat!

Solid vegan food - Edit
The summer rolls and the fried rice with vegetables and cashews were absolutely down-to-earth fair, nothing less but also nothing more.

Pros: Reasonable price level
Cons: Some of the main courses are the size of starters

Lots of options - Edit
Had breakfast (x2) and dinner here.
Read moreI had the pancakes with fruit. Pancakes were really good, syrup was quite bitter and the fruit selection was a bit odd. I don’t think avocado works well in a fruit salad, I’m also not keen on watermelon.
I also had the chocolate smoothie bowl which was good, and the banana and cacao smoothie. This tasted exactly like it should’ve but I wouldn’t order it again.
For dinner I had dumplings which were delicious, and then a vegetable curry with rice. This was quite tasty, a little watery but overall a good choice.

Food was fine, nothing special! Fairly cheap, took some time to come. Not desperate to return!

Mostly Bland - Edit
Sadly it was all pretty bland. Pho was water, curry was acceptable but like a pot noodle curry flavour, falafel was bland and not really falafel, potatoes are actually decent like roast potatoes

The Western options were best! - Edit
We came twice with it being the only option on the island. We ordered a variety the first night and found the Vietnamese food to not be as good as the non-Vietnamese options. The summer rolls were dry and fried spring rolls bland, but my partner had the pad Thai and enjoyed it and I had the quesadilla which was tasty! The next night I had the falafel burger, which was again tasty. We also shared the waffles which redeemed the show service on the busier night!

Food is good and hotel above - Edit
ADVICE!! You can stay at the hotel above this restaurant and conveniently get a free vegan breakfast included for every day of your stay. You also get 10% discount every time you eat here as a hotel guest (the rooms are good here too with aircon, fan, fridge, TV, etc).
Read moreThe food is great as you can see from other reviews, loved the pancakes, quesadillas and falafel burger so far. Also, the potato wedges are literally like the UK’s Sunday roast potatoes - SO good 😍
Also super affordable with most dishes costing under £3😄

The dumplings were really tasty, we also tried the quesadillas. It was clear if we were at the right place first, cause it looks more like the entrance of a hotel, and maybe jt is. But there is a happy cow sticker at the reception

Fully vegan restaurant in a small town - Edit
We came here many many times during our stay in Cát Bà and tried a lot of different things from the menu.

Our favorite dishes were: Quesadilla, banana pancakes, fried noodles with veggies, mixed noodles, banh mi with tofu and mushroom, chocolate smoothie bowl.

Fully vegan 😋 - Edit
Lunch at a fully vegan place- the only one on this island called Cat Ba. We had mango and coconut smoothies, potato wedges, spring rolls, pad Thai, vegan burger, chickpea gravy and rice, vegan pizza with cashew cheese.

Best vegan food in Cat Ba - Edit
I think it's the only fully vegan restaurant on the island. I came back twice to eat. I will be back again. First day I had pumpkin soup (it was so so tasty) and sushi (was really good). Today I had quesadilla and Thai Pad. Everything I tried was tasty. It is very fairly priced, around 100k per full meal (between 3-4 euros). It was also clean, which is not always the case in Vietnam.
Read moreThe guy working was super nice. There is not much atmosphere in the restaurant except for eating, but I came specifically for that reason.
Would definitely recommend.

Very nice! - Edit
The menu has quite a few options, and even some more international cuisine in case you want to take a break from Vietnamese cuisine. Quesadillas were nice, but a bit small, so I'd get them more like a starter than main. Pad Thai was delicious. Fried springrolls - very filling and tasty. Mango smoothies - amazing! Sticky rice and mango for dessert also yummy.
Read moreThe place itself could be a bit cosier, but it was a pleasant dinner and I would come back for sure.

i went there everyday when staying in Cát Bà - Edit
it’s the only fully vegan place known Cát Bà that i found.
Read moreI loved the all day breakfast (for example pancakes or waffles served with fresh fruits).
The western food was not so my favorite but still good! the local food was really nice.
Also the Pad Thai is recommendable. they also have varieties of coffees (coconut coffee etc) and also fresh fruit juices. And they have Banh Mi (Sandwiches .. they’re ok if you put some sauces on it).
Two funny stories:
First i took my lunnerfast there (breakfast, lunch and dinner in one meal) and as i was ordering the third course the waiter was asking me if I am sure. He was worried that i can finish everything (cute).
Also on the last day he asked me if I was vegan. I said yes and asked if he is too. He said yes and told me why he was asking: usually vegans (in Vietnam at least) are super skinny. And he said I am „not SO skinny“ 🤣🤣🤣 so charming. I loved it!!! And also he was very helpful.
Ah yes. The prices are very cheap. between 30 and 90k dong for a meal.
Pros: pancakes , local food , free refill of water

Good 🇻🇳 Food! Deducting 2 stars due obvious fake reviews 😠 - Edit
Deducting 2 stars just because of the numerous obviously faked reviews this restaurant has when looking through all the ratings.

🇻🇳 Go for the Vietnamese food
Nevertheless, it is indeed the only fully vegan restaurant in Cat Ba, so we decided to give it a chance.
Food:
💰 Quite affordable prices
🇻🇳 Tasty Vietnamese food
😐 Western food is only okay to bad
✨ Atmosphere is not so nice
🍽️ Dishes could be presented more nicely
______________
🍢 Sweet and Sour Tofu (50k | ~$2)
Really tasty with lots of flavor.
🥟 Vegan Dumplings (70k | $2.8)
Could be presented more nicely, but taste was quite good.
🥖 Falafel Sandwich (40k | $1.6)
Fresh ingredients! Falafel was okay, but a bit dry. With the chili sauce on the table, I'd give it a go. For that price, it's a steal.
🍛 Fried rice with cashew and veggies (50k | ~$2)
Great! Absolutely worth it.
🍔 Vegan Burger (90k | 3.6$)
Saggy Bun, no good sides, no flavor. Do not choose the vegan burger here.
🧊☕🥥 Iced Coconut Coffee
Very tasty but a quite small cup.
I can recommend going here, but I would wish they'd be more honest with their reviews and remove the paid fake ones.
Pros: Good Vietnamese food, Cheap
Cons: Fake reviews

Fully vegan Restaurant on Cat Ba Island. You can get traditional Vietnamese dishes, but also western food like burgers, pasta and quesadillas. Food tasted great and prices were very affordable! Try the sweet & sour tofu and watermelon juice.

Convenient, fully vegan - Edit
This restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Cat Ba Green Hotel (an excellent stay), making it a convenient place to eat if you are staying there.
Read moreThe pad Thai was tasty and came with veggies and tofu. 9/10
The mango sticky rice was very good as well. 9/10
The vegan burger was good but a little crumbly and soggy. 8/10
The veggie bahn mi was tasty and cheap 9/10
The atmosphere is quiet and plays chill music which I liked. I wish there were a few more plants though. The decor was lacking a bit.

All vegan, good options - Edit
Lots of options. We liked the sushi and pad Thai. The mango smoothie was really bad, just like pulp. It was great to eat waffles as vegan ones are hard to come by, but the actual waffles themselves weren’t great.
