Lovely food and staff - Edit
I got an oat milk latte with the regular strong blend coffee, a sausage roll, and a small piece of chocolate. I also shared a raspberry croissant and a slice of chocolate and biscuit cheesecake with Purp. Everything (including an oat latte for Purp as well) came to roughly €29.
Read moreThe latte was okay. They used Alpro barista oat milk, which isn't my favourite as I find it can taste watery and it has a stronger oat flavour than other oat milks. There is also a €0.60 charge for plant milk (unless you get soy milk, that's free for some reason), which I think is the highest plant milk charge I have seen.
The sausage roll was delicious. It wasn't a fake meat sausage, it was just a blend of vegetables, but it was very tasty. I noticed some pieces of butternut squash (or maybe sweet potato) and sun-dried tomatoes. I would definitely eat it again.
I loved the croissant! Star of the show! Ambrosia of the gods! Flakey and filled with a small amount of raspberry jam. It wasn't too sweet or heavy. I would like to learn how to live off of these.
The cheesecake was okay. Very chocolatey, it overpowered the biscuit. I probably wouldn't get it again, but if you enjoy chocolate icing then this is the cake for you.
The piece of chocolate was nice. It was good quality and had a slight praline taste.
Last, but not least, the staff were absolutely lovely! Friendly, chatty and efficient.
I would like to see some more savoury vegan options as the sausage roll is the only one at the moment, and some markings to show what's vegan on the drinks menu (food is clearly marked), and for the ridiculous plant milk tax to be removed, but overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it over other cafés in the area.

Nice coffee and cakes!! - Edit
Me and GC decided to treat ourselves to a coffee and some cakes after an early start.
Read moreWe both got an oat milk latte (regular dark roast). We got a plant based sausage roll each and for deserts we got chocolate and caramelized biscuit cake and a filled rasberry croissant. And to top it off we each got a vegan chocolate piece they had at the counter.
The coffee was nice ,a good level of strength. I had never tried Nero coffee but I am now a fan.
The sausage roll was surprisingly good and was a mix of veg instead of fake meat, a nice change and I would get it again.
Me and GC shared the cakes, the croissant tasted a lot like a donut mixed with a croissant because of the filling and it was tasty.
The chocolate caramelized biscuit cake was very nice and rich...I would get it again. The vegan chocolate piece was very nice as well, much nicer than I was expecting.
The staff were really efficient and friendly, which was great as It was very busy. The prices were good for the quality and size, overall I would definitely recommend Caffe Nero.
My only complaint would be that they didn't seem to have any vegan wraps/sandwiches so the only savoury option is sausage roll which is a shame.
