Not too Shabby =)

I think I am spoiled. Living in the bay area has really spoiled my taste buds. In the waiting room in front of the counter were swinging bird cage chairs - loved them! In the taco salad I LOVED the avocado! Perfectly ripe! And you all know how hard it is to find that perfect second of avocado perfection. Not crazy about the fake meat...(or plastic cutlery)...but it's all good. My favorite was the pesto Pasta - really tasty. Loved the barley mushroom soup...but a bit on the sweet side...but I think I am sensitive to sugar though. I would order it next time "No sugar on top....or whatever makes it sweet." There was something on top...not sure what ...but that gave it the sweet taste to it. Over-all I love all vegan places generally so am very happy that they opened. I think that the food will bring in non-vegans so that's awesome!! Very mainstream menu - so that's great - and super nice staff so that's always good

Pros: nice staff, love the hanging chairs, vegan

Cons: let's use compostable instead of plastic

no brainer. By Chloe is always delicious.

Everything from decor to flavor is phenomenal. Can never go wrong with a trip to By Chloe. Bring your non-veg friends.

Amazing food!

My family and I ate lunch here when visiting Burbank. I had the mac n cheese and kale Caesar salad, and they were both amazing and very flavorful! For dessert a must-try is their raspberry-tiramisu cupcake, which was DELICIOUS and probably the most unique dessert I've had to date! The caramel frosting was decadent and it was well balanced by the refreshing raspberry filling. Their cinnamon cookies were nice too. Overall we all really enjoyed it!

Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere, Easy parking

Cons: Could use more eco-friendly utensils, packaging, e

Good concept but so-so execution

Ate here this week, and here's my Los Angeles' By Chloe review.

It's a little place right next door to the 365 grocery market. The set up is fast-casual cafe style. The great thing is that everything is vegan. The bakery display looks enticing, and the food coming out of the kitchen all seemed well-presented and tasty.

We got a few things to share:
- Guacamole burger had good flavor but the patty itself was kind of very salty
- Mac n cheese was just ok, and a bit salty
- Pancake was mushy and we had to send it back
- Tiramisu cupcake and matcha blueberry muffin were both good

Overall I liked the baked goods more than the food we got.

Pros: all vegan, bakery goods

Cons: quality inconsistent

Great first impression

I was having a late dinner and this was the only vegan place I could find open late. My sister and I shared the pesto meatball sandwich and Mac&cheese. Both delicious! I will definitely be going back to try their smoothies.

Amazing food!!

This is one delicious spot to eat! I am a huge fan of Chloe, who also happened to be there when I went at opening. She was amazing and so kind, though I know she is no longer in control of this restaurant any longer. But she's always worth mentioning! Anyway, back to the food, I had the Guac Burger and it was extremely delicious. It was a flavor explosion! The aoli was delicious and I couldn't believe how good the sauces were. I would go to any restaurant that Chloe is affiliated with because she is one amazing chef!! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Pros: All vegan food!

Cons: Small restaurant and crowded

Amazing!

I can never go to the Los Angeles area and miss eating at By Chloe. Even if I'm going past LA I will make this my pit stop. Yes, it's on the more expensive side. As for me, I don't live in Southern California so whenever I come in it's always a long awaited treat considering where I'm from has all of ONE vegan restaurant. The Avocado Pesto Pasta is incredibly delicious and The Guac Burger is just as flavorful. Definitely my two favorites.

quite good

I really enjoyed the guac burger, although on the 1st bite I wasn't sure because of the crunchy wonton noodle like stuff which seemed misplaced until it got a bit soggy. I thought the mac & cheese was good, but a bit too salty. Desserts I tried were also a bit too sweet for me. Overall worth visiting, slightly pricey.

Pros: nice options

Cons: slightly pricy

AMAZING!

I was visiting LA on vacation and this was my favourite place I tried! I ordered the guac burger, a lemonade and some mac n cheese and sweet potato fries to share with my friend. I loved absolutely everything and the burger was the best I have ever had! 10/10!

The hype is real!

By Chloe is AMAZING!! I've tried quite a few things this week. My favorite was the pesto meatball sub. The guacamole burger is a close second. Simple concept, executed brilliantly! The mac n cheese with shiitake bacon is super flavorful without being overly salty. The pesto avocado pasta was not something I was expecting to love but I did! So creamy! My husband also tried the whisky BBQ burger and really enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite but it was still tasty. The kale Caesar salad with shiitake mushrooms was also amazing. The mushrooms and croutons made this dish a bit too salty but overall I was very happy with it. If you get fries do yourself a favor and try the dipping sauces. I loved the beet ketchup! And we had to, of course, try her famous desserts. Her version of the hostess cupcake is so much better than the original! All of the desserts we tried were super moist and delicious. But my favorite was the banana bread. My husband loved her raspberry coffee cake and cookies too. Basically, anything you get will be delicious!

Pros: Everything!!

Cons: None!

Mac and Cheeeeeeeezzzeee!! With Shiitake bacon!

I do believe this place has served up one of the best examples of the vegan holy grail that I have ever had the privilege of eating. Yes, mac n' cheese.

Move over, Amy's; step aside, Daiya. The cheesy casserole served up at By Chloe sets the new standard for any mac n' cheese that is produced in large batches and made palatable to vegans and non-vegans, alike.

The salted PB&J, and the Kale Cookies n' Cream ice creams were the perfect thing to top off this diet-busting vegan eatery adventure. Would totally eat here again.

Pros: Vegan comfort food that doesn't come from a micro.

Cons: None.

Best Place for Vegan Burgers

I always come and eat a Guac Burger at By Chloe's after my run at Griffith Park. You need to try this place and I guarantee you will never stop coming back.

Awesome food!

Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I have been to! The food was amazing, we tried the vegan mac'n'cheese, meatball sandwich, guacamole burger and for desserts the lemon poppy cupcake and the tiramisu cupcake. Also try the red beet ketchup, it blew my mind, which I really didn't expect! The staff is very friendly and they really make you feel welcome!

Great food

This is a nice comfortable place with excellent burgers and fries. Service was friendly and fast. They have salads too, but we had burgers. :)

The whiskey bbq burger was delicious, as was the guac burger. The fries (with beet ketchup) were very good.

Pros: Reasonable prices, Good parking in lot, Excellent simple food

Veganwashed?

I came here with 3 of my non vegan friends. They got the meatball sub, the pesto pasta, the fries, and the kale Caesar. They were not very impressed. I agreed the croutons on the Caesar salad were too sweet and while the salad was good, it was just okay. The pesto pasta was good, however he thought it was too rich. They all said the fries were too light, but I thought they were normal, not anything special, fries. My meal was amazing: I had the burger, which is by far one of the best burgers I've had and the beet ketchup was AMAZING. The spinach and artichoke dip which I enjoyed, but everyone else thought tasted weird. The chips do dip into it were the worst for me actually, as they were bland. Overall, surprisingly underwhelming. The winner was the burger, might come back just for that.

Pros: good burger, trendy

Cons: mediocre food , not a lot of seating

Wish I could give it 10 stars

Let me start by saying that I've been to their New York Flatiron location multiple times and I'm obsessed. When I came to Los Angeles I knew I had to go here. This location is just like the New York location in that it's pretty small and you might have to fight for a table if you come during peak hours, but that's what happens when the food is that good. We got there early and there were three open tables but by the time we finished eating the line was out the door.

I ordered the same thing I always order in New York, but this was the first time I was there early enough to get a Cinnamon Roll and let me just tell you, I'm so happy about that. It was so good. Definitely get one if they have them when you're there.

For my meal I got a Classic Burger, Mac N Cheese, and Sweet Potato Fries. My parents got Guac Burgers and regular fries. The food here is simply amazing.

I actually hate veggie burgers and vegan mac n cheese; every other restaurant I've been to and tried these items at I regretted ordering every time. This is not the case at Chloe's. The Classic Burger is amazing. I get it without the beet ketchup because I don't like beets, but the other sauce that they put on it is realllllyyyy good.

The Mac N Cheese is probably my favorite item on the menu. It's so creamy and cheesy and the noodles are great. I get it without the "bacon" because I don't like mushrooms, but I've heard that it's pretty good. I can say enough how much you need to try this mac n cheese if you're a vegan. It's definitely the best vegan version I've ever tried.

My parents love the Guac burger. I haven't tried it so I can't speak for myself, but they're omnivores so for them to say they love a veggie burger must be saying a lot.

The fries are pretty good. They're air baked so they're definitely not as crispy as normal fries but they're so much healthier and definitely still tasty. The chipotle aioli sauce is really great for dipping and if you like beets I hear the ketchup is great too.

Overall, you have to go here. It's simply too good to pass up. I also like how this location is connected to a Whole Foods, so you can do some vegan grocery shopping after you eat.

Pros: Excellent food, Mac n Cheese is amazing, Friendly staff

Cons: Not a lot of seating

Good stuff

I was so excited to find a healthy oatmeal/quinoa breakfast option. Even without maple syrup, it was great. My husband got the tofu scramble, which he really liked, and the next day we ordered the guac burger--the patty has great flavor. I would be happy to go back and explore more of the menu.

Pros: healthy options, great flavor

Cons: tightly packed

Loved the mac and cheese with shitake bacon ♡

Got the Guac and the Classic burger. Both were solid good. Did not like the air baked sweet potato fries, they were cold and not tasty at all.The Mac and Cheese instead were crazy good, this shitake bacon is to die for! It's next to a 365 Wholefoods which is nice.

Pros: shitake bacon :D

Drop by for an excellent snack

This isn't the kind of place I'd recommend for a sit-down meal. It seems much more suited for a quick grab-and-go sandwich or something similar. I got the mac and cheese, which was very tasty. I really enjoyed the addition of the mushroom to the dish.

So good!!!

Went for lunch. We had the Kale Caesar, guac burger and fries. Everything was yummy. The bun on the burger was so light and airy. Not dense like some vegan buns. The flavor of the food was found in every bite!!!

Cons: The parking not that great but worth the fuss!
