neat place, but not cheap

My husband and I went in this morning after seeing it on the app. I wish that we looked at the menu prices before going in.
we ordered the cheapest items (beans on toast + banana shakes) and it was still nearly $8 Canadian. The service was good, but we won't be coming back as it is too pricey for us.

Great options at a good price

Dropped in for some lunch with my partner who's vegetarian. Full set of menues for every type of eater. Decent prices and good customer service. Also tons of second hand books for swapping or buying and games to play to keep busy. Free wi-fi and tourist info at hand. Great drop in spot for any traveller!

Pros: food, wifi, games & books

good breakfast

I had the full English vegetarian and it was really nice. you get tea with it as well. only negative is the toilet is connected to the kitchen through a whole above eyelevel and there's no sink to wash your hands.

Friendly, vegetarian owner!

The vegetarian options include some really yummy mock meat options which after days of bland rice was very welcome! I ended up eating here twice and both times I ate Vietnamese food while my friend ate western food and we were both very happy with our meals.

The owner is British and vegetarian himself so is very approachable if you have any queries about your food. He provides vegan menu options and also low cal options.

There's also a huge book swap (hence the name) and lots of board games available which makes for a nice atmosphere.

Pros: lots of choice, friendly staff

Great if you're missing veggie British food!

This cafe is conveniently located just off of Bui Vien street (backpackers area) and is really popular with expats and backpackers alike. Has an array of books and board games, making the place quite cosy (at least by BV standards).

I've been here a few times when I wanted Western (British, specifically) veggie food and Bookworm's has quite a range! You can find veggie fish & chips, burgers, roast "beef", sausages, fry ups - which is super cool!! I've only tried a few things on the veg menu and they were pretty good - not the healthiest food, but good if you are craving a veggie version of British comfort food.

Pros: Extensive British veg menu, In the backpackers area

Cons: A bit greasy and heavy (but that's what , British food is)

extremely welcoming!! :)

This lovely little cafe has so much character!
The menu is just....WOW! So many options especially for veggies and I love the English spin on it :)
Keiran the owner is lovely and extremely helpful, he gave us lots of advice on our trip in Vietnam and helped us with finding our way about!
I ate here many times (being vegan) I found that there aren't AS many options than veggie. But keiran was willing to do certain dishes without egg etc on request :) The tofu veg noodle soup I definitely recommend!!
A BIG THANKYOUU!

alright food, decent selection

Vegans be careful, I had to send the veggie burger back after it came with mayo despite my please of no egg or dairy. Otherwise the food was good. Plenty of choice, nice little place and decent service.
