Good food, good service, beautiful scenery - Edit
I had the Reuben sandwich and berry cheesecake. They were delicious but Reuben sandwich was nothing at all like a Reuben sandwich at all. I've had better vegan reubens.

Hot and Salad Bar is Great, for a Great Price - Edit
Salad and hot bar was delicious and affordable- I got a great, loaded salad with dressing, sweet potato fries, and bread for around $8. Food is fresh and flavorful.

Hidden Garden Oasis... - Edit
This is a wonderful little cafe. We were there on a Sunday evening in winter and it was quiet and cozy and comfortable. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious.
Read moreMy wife had the breakfast scramble (thumbs up) and I had the reuben on sourdough (double thumbs up). Unlike other vegan reubens that I've had, this one was light, fresh, and not-at-all-greasy. It was piled high with nicely tart sauerkraut and I could barely get my mouth around it to take a bite. It's really good...
Plus: gluten-free, nut-free vegan doughnut with chocolate frosting. YES.
Pros: Relaxed vibe, Friendly service, Tasty treats
Cons: Not open for late night coffee

A great stop for airplane food - Edit
Called 5 minutes away for 2 chipotle burritos. By the time we got there I waited maybe a minute. The burritos had everything in them. No need for extra salsa etc etc. Great food for packing in a full bag through TSA. 2nd plus once the sky and ready to eat we thought we had died and gone to heaven. Truly best burrito ever. Even though chipotle it was not too spicy. Mine fell apart a little but I think that was due to TSA having to unwrap it to search for explosives or something. My husband’s did not fall apart(not unwrapped for search of undisclosed weapons)

Yummy in my Tummy - Edit
Bliss is the most wonderful vegan place in SLO. The absolute best place to get food and even my meat-eating friends love it! I especially love their cheezy scramble and all day breakfast burrito. The dishes are filling and they taste awesome! Staff is friendly and it is nice to sit by the creek during the day.

The Best or One of the Best - Edit
You eat plant based and you are driving on the 101. Do yourself a favor: Stop, exit and visit this place. It is among the best, heartiest hot vegan meal places that I have ever eaten at and I’ve eaten at many! My favorite is the Protein Buddha bowl a mixture of black beans, brown rice, diced potatoes, lightly steamed kale, freshly sliced avocado topped with almond nutritional yeast and tempeh. Instead of fake meats they serve rich mostly organic, locally sourced vegetables, grains and legumes. The atmosphere is coffeehouse like on the inside and natural setting like on the outside.

Pros: Mostly organic locally sourced produce, Variety of rich, full and varied bowls, Varied and reasonably priced vegan deserts
Cons: There is only one of them

appropriately titled cafe! - Edit
I was in SLO for my best friend's wedding and was so happy to come across Bliss Cafe. I enjoyed a coconut curry bowl, which was very good and extremely filling, and I returned twice for their almond based ice cream and vegan toppings. They have a wonderful creekside terrace with views of the historic SLO mission.

A favourite - Edit
I used to spend a lot of time in SLO, so I've been here a plethora of times. It's an all-vegan kitchen, so there's absolutely no worries about what I can and can't eat. Everything's kinda expensive, but i have never bought something that wasn't well worth the price. I highly recommend.

Read moreHave been taken with Bliss Cafe two years ago so couldn’t be back in California and miss it. I love their new concept of self-service buffet! Tasty and healthy dishes, every single one has his unique flavors. Unfortunately I just came when they hadn’t tempeh and I couldn’t wait for it. But all that delicious food made me forget! Moreover, staff is very nice!

Good quality filling salad bowls with lovely outdoor seating - Edit
Towards the back of a small shopping centre.
Read moreThere is some food ready cooked which can be weighed and eaten straightaway or you can order from the menu at the till.
We chose two different salad bowls. I had a tofu based salad (with chickpeas, tomato, cucumber, alfalfa, avocado, cashew cream) in lemon dressing. My boyfriend had a tempeh based bowl with a different dressing. While the price seems a bit high, if you look at the picture you can see the sizes (I had leftovers), I find they use good quality ingredients which all tasted delicious, and they were well balanced satisfying combinations.
Outdoor seating is really pretty with the tree/stream running behind.

This place is delicious! The food has wonderful flavors and there’s a large assortment of different kinds of foods to try! I recommend the curry bowl and the chipotle burrito! Gotta check out this cozy little place in SLO if you love good food and nice armospheres. I recommend sitting outside in the back under the trees and pretty lights.

Not impressed - Edit
We went and got to milkshakes, which were good and the Bhima burger which was in toast bread, not a multi-grain bun as the menu said. We skipped the included side salat (buffet), because it looked dull. The noise level of machines and music was too much, and it was cold inside. The tables weren’t very clean. The ‘burger’ was okay, nothing fancy. We agreed upon not coming back.

Best Food in SLO! - Edit
Bliss Cafe never disappoints! Their menu includes smoothies, juices, burritos, sandwiches, salads and more! Bliss also has a wonderful gluten free bakery, an all new quick salad bar which I believe has all oil free dressings (?), and a hot soup. Everything I've tried (which is most of the menu at this point) has been home made, full of flavor, and a nice portion size.
Read moreSeating is indoor and outdoor overlooking the mission and creek. Service is good, although food can sometimes take a little longer when it's busy, but you can always order online or over the phone ahead of time. Bliss is a must for those driving through San Luis Obispo, locals, and vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike, and a great place to take friends and family.
It is clear that Bliss values health and flavor in their food, and it makes me so happy to have it right here in SLO!
Pros: Solid portions, awesome food!
