Fair vegan options - Edit
I looked up menu ahead of my visit to find vegan dishes. Seeing the yellow curry tofu option was very exciting.
Read moreUnfortunately when I ordered that dinner, they let me know the yellow curry tofu dish is not vegetarian and it is made with fish sauce. I got the vegetable soup instead, which was delicious but locked that tofu protein I was hoping for.
Why on earth would you make a tofu dish that is not vegetarian? Overall just a bummer as Big Sur has limited vegan options besides just carbs. 
In the morning, I had a very good soy milk latte from the café. 
Pros: Ambiance, wood fire, history
Cons: Boring food for vegans

Okay vegan options. Unfortunately, seemingly the best around - Edit
The risotto is default vegan. One of the salads can be without cheese. And there's a Beyond Burger option too (be sure to ask for it without cheese). This area generally seemed lacking for options so this place was highly welcomed
