What’s not to like about balance wholefoods? Nothing! Kate and Collette are great and so informative on the products they sell! They always go above and beyond to help! And they’re always helping animal charities!

100% vegan and best indie health food shop in the area - Edit
Sizeable shop with vast range of products and supplements that all are totally vegan. Amazing cakes, vegan sushis, fresh salads, smoothies and fantastic prices on organic fruit and veg better than supermarkets. Also have fresh sourdoughs on some days. A proper little trove of plant based goodness.

Staff are sound and helpful. All are proper vegan and have been for decades so know their onions.
All in all best independent (and non indie) wholefood shop in the area and well worth supporting as it's 100% unapolegetically vegan.

I did not purchase anything on my visit before Christmas.
Read moreI went in to see if they had a specific Vegan Yorkshire pudding mix, which is vegan as sold because it dies not require any substitutions to the mix.
When I could not find it I asked the member of staff if they stocked it as the one they were selling was advertised as "vegetarian" on the packet.
The staff member who was behind the till on the opposite side of the shop rudely replied with a patronising tone that the product they had was vegan because it is a vegan shop.
She did not look up or even come over, she apparently didn't feel the need to as calling across the shop with other customers in seemed more appropriate.
The product she was referring to was infact vegetarian and is only vegan if you purchase an egg replacer or use aquafaba. Whilst it may come across as being picky pointing this fact out, the fact that she stated ALL products where vegan would imply that they are automatically vegan and not with additional products needing to be purchased to make them so.
I rarely purchase from here anyway as alot of their products are overpriced, and some supermarkets have most of the products sold or alternatives, usually their own brands which are vegan and less expensive.
There are also health food shops in Crosby selling a good range of products that cannot be purchased in supermarkets.
Overall,I would have to say that on the occasions that I have been into the store it has purely been for convenience due to working in the area.
However, I think I would rather travel than be spoken to patronising rude.

Balance wholefoods is a little treasure trove of goodies - Edit
I can always find what I’m looking for. They are stockists of some of the best cakes, sushi and meals that I’ve ever tried some are below in the pros. The staff are super friendly and helpful and you can buy fresh food, store-cupboard, frozen, cleaning supplies, sweets, snacks, cakes, meals, milks etc. There’s a lot of choice and I love trying out new brands. They can reserve fresh goods until the end of the day if you call them, as they sometimes sell quickly. 💚

Wonderful vegan store! - Edit
Excellent selection of vegan goods - including food, toiletries and household items. There always seems to be new and exciting items in, so worthwhile popping over frequently. Love the late opening on a Thursday, as I go after work and stock up for the weekend. Highly recommend!

Vegan products I’ve never seen before! - Edit
Such an amazing little shop with lovely staff. Has so many vegan products which I’d never seen before, such as the vegan chocolate croissants which were delicious! They come in little packets so are really handy to take on the go. Yes some things may be a little expensive, but for vegan substitute items you’re going to pay a little bit more and also because it’s an independent business.

This shop has an amazing selection of vegan food, treats, supplements and ingredients. If they don't have in what your looking for they'll get it for you and welcome suggestions for new stock. They have a fridge/freezer section as well, offering a wide range of brands and food (including seitan burgers perfect for a bbq) I would highly recommend visiting here.

First full vegan store I know of in the north Liverpool area! Great selection of all foods, and there is a few big fridges stocked right up. They sell all toiletries aswell and even dog food and treats!

Visiting omni family member who brought this vegan shop to our attention so we called on the way home. Very impressed with range of goods, food including some fresh and toiletries etc. Staff friendly and helpful and will definitely return.
