Monster crepes - Edit
Tried this place based on Happy Cow recs and discovered a little gem. A lot of vegan options clearly marked on the menu— sweet and savory. Had the falafel burger and avocado crepe, which was delicious and huge. Coffee very good, except there is a $1 up charge for plant milk. Very casual, order at the counter. Plenty of tables and the staff was kind and very apologetic that my order took a while (they were filling a lot of takeout orders). Recommend!

You had me at Vegan Crepes - Edit
Many vegan goodies available here! Vegan crepes - what a rare treat! These didn’t have the exact taste or texture of traditional egg crepes, but they are very good in their own right.
Read moreThe tofu scramble was very good, and the portion very generous! The only thing I recommend is steering clear of the mint lemonade and the chocolate chip cookies… neither are worth their prices.
Pros: VEGAN CREPES - savory or sweet, Most of the menu is veganizable, Did I mention vegan crepes?
Cons: Not fully vegan, Some items overpriced , Cookie is an expensive abomination

Yay for crepes! - Edit
So the guy helping us said 85% of the menu can be veganized. He said the Royal crepe was amongst the most popular so we got that veganized and it was sooooo good! We also tried the lentil soup, the tofu scramble, and the quinoa power bowl. Everything was good but the crepe was the star and the quinoa power bowl was second. The chocolate chip cookie was gluten-free which made it a little dense I think - I’d probably skip that and get the coffee cake if I went back. Oh and the happy monkey smoothie was hella good! This place was a winner!

Obsessed with this place - Edit
All of the crepe batter is vegan by default. The pasties they sell (cookies, different breads, muffins) are all vegan. They have matcha and fresh juices. And the crepes are INSANELY GOOD. Of course the only thing that would make it better is if they were 100% vegan but if you haven’t tried this place- do not wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Favorite Dessert/Brunch Place in the South Bay - Edit
I never liked sweets or crepes before becoming vegan 10+ years ago, but found myself really enjoying the food here. The crepes are a bit pricey (but find me a cheap, quality place around here) as others noted, but the portions are big and the savory crepes should fill most up for lunch. The only two crepes I order are the avocado (no cheese) and French Affection (tell them no whipped cream). The coconut cream and candied walnut on the latter are amazing. Even my non-vegan hubby loves it. They also sell smoothies, acai bowls, other savory food, and some vegan bakery items. The smoothies and acai bowls are also very good. I've tried the coffee cake and muffins and found them both good albeit on the sweet side. I would skip the lentil soup - too much turmeric for my liking.
Read moreIf you typically eat simple homecooked meals like me, you'll find the crepes very decadent. On the flipside, if you are constantly eating veganized SAD, then you might find yourself dissatisfied like some of the negative reviews here as the food here is pretty light compared to vegan donuts, burgers and highly-processed whatnot. (not my cup of tea)
Unlike what some others noted, the service is pretty good. The photorealistic paintings on display are interesting to peruse every time I visit. I would highly recommend avoiding the late brunch crowd as service slows down dramatically. But don't expect your crepe to come out right away either - they're making it fresh, give them a break!
Pros: Relatively healthy; homemade batter and sauces, Large portions, Lots and lots of options
Cons: Not fully vegan (no, I don't want to add cheese), On the pricier side, Service can be slow if there's a crowd

Okay - Edit
The bagel was very average and just plain white. We ordered the special crepes and it has big chunks of raw tofu in it and very squishy mushrooms. A textural nightmare for myself. The vegan tax on the cheese is annoying when they have a big picture of a no egg sign. Just go vegan already. Portion size of the crepe was large.
Read moreFound the service to be pretty unhelpful and non-existent. You have to order at the counter and then your buzzer goes off and you have to go collect your food. Everything is disposable and heavily plastic based which didn’t sit well with us.

Pretty ok - Edit
People weren't kidding - the portions are huge. Very expensive too for sure. The royal veggie was pretty heavy and was difficult to eat. I've had crepes before and this felt more like a squashed burrito than a crepe.

Big & tasty - Edit
This is one of my go-to spots for breakfast and lunch. They have savory and sweet crepes. The savory crepes are FULL of veggies so it's more healthy than you might expect. The portions are huge. Each crepe yields 2-3 meals for me. Everything is really tasty! And you can ask to make any item on the menu vegan.

Sehr süße Crepes. Leider gab es bei dem Schoko-Banana-Crepes kein Obst dazu. Der Kaffee hat nicht geschmeckt. Auch die Verwendung von Plastikgeschirr ist heutzutage ein No-Go!

should go back to reusable dishes - Edit
Lots of vegan options, almost everything can be made vegan. Unfortunately, that sometimes means simply omitting something, like whipped cream, which is a bit disappointing. Make sure to ask when you order.
Read moreThey do have vegan cheese now, though, and the royal veggie crepe with cheese was pretty good. The lemon sauce was a bit too strong for my taste, overpowering the other ingredients. Portion size is huge.
My main gripe these days is that they are still using disposable, plastic cutlery and paper plates. Pre-pandemic they used to have reusable items. I can somewhat understand that during Covid they didn't want to handle used dishes, but now they should really go back. From what I could find, they don't even have a bin for compostables, everything goes into the waste bin.
Cons: single-use plastic cutlery and paper plates, not fully vegan

Pretty good - Edit
Not everything here is vegan (despite the very vegan-forward signage). We tried the French affection and açaí bowl and both were very good. The açaí bowl doesn’t have much açaí though.

Good Avo Crepe - Edit
Crepes Bistro popped up on my search for a vegan friendly brunch spot in the Santa Clara area, and it was pretty good!
Read moreAll of the crepe batter is vegan so there's no doubt about that piece. However, be sure to ask if other ingredients are vegan as they're likely not using meat substitutes. They do offer vegan cheese as an option if you choose.
I ordered the Avocado Crepe ($15.50) that comes with tomato and spinach. It came on a long plate with ten pieces and ended up being a lot of food. The batter was light and fluffy, and they used a generous amount of avo in the dish.
Feeling like I needed a side, I went with their Fries ($8.50) which came with a side of aioli and ketchup. The fries were tossed in this lemon, salt-pepper seasoning and ended up being way too salty for my taste. I felt it was also at a pretty high price point given it's intended to be a side dish.
Aside from the high prices, Crepes Bistro is a fantastic place to come for a sweet or savory brunch without the long waits. I do recommend though that they try to find ways to provide reusable dish ware since it's not sustainable to rely on plastic utensils for your customers.
Pros: Great vegan crepe option
Cons: Pricier side

Great place for brunch! - Edit
As a vegan there aren't many great brunch places but glad we have this place nearby. We get to have vegan crepes which is pretty rare. They have both savory and sweet crepes and most crepe fillings can be veganized. Have tried their tofu scramble a while back as well which was good.

Expensive, slow service, food is ok - Edit
This looked better on the internet. I didn’t completely hate the experience, but it took forever to get our food, even though the place didn’t seem all that busy. My açaí bowl was alarmingly sweet, my smoothie was good, and my salad was nothing special. After tip, that order set me back nearly $60.

Be careful of portion size! - Edit
The crepes were good and the service was friendly. I wasn't expecting such huge portions. My son and I ordered a crepe each and could barely finish a quarter of each one. The lentil soup, veggie patties, and sunset juice were also delicious. The juice was made fresh and without added sweetener.

Big, Tasty Portions - Edit
I keep meaning to try the sweet crepes, but every time I come I can't help but get the savory crepes instead because they're so tasty! The ingredients always taste fresh and the portions are always pretty big--my husband often makes two meals out of them, but I'm admittedly a black hole when it comes to food. I usually get my crepes to-go, so they sometimes get a little steamed/soggy in the box, but that's hardly the fault of Crepes Bistro since I live a bit far away.
Read morePart of the reason for usually getting things to go is that it is a small place and thus it's not always easy to get seating here (or wasn't during non-pandemic times). The tables are often better set up for pairs or smaller groups, so I imagine it would be difficult to dine here with a group of more than 4. There is parking in the back behind the strip mall (or whatever else you'd call it) that it is part of, so parking is generally not too bad, and you can enter through the back so you won't have to go back around. In pre-pandemic times, there was definitely a lunch rush here that should be avoided, but I'm guessing that may no longer be the case for now.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Fresh Ingredients, Big Portions
Cons: Limited Seating Options
