Came for cocktails and small bites. The food was very good, drinks fine, but none of it was as mind-blowing as the price would suggest.
Read moreNice server, but everything from getting a menu to getting the check took way too long.
Would love to try more food here, but can't justify the expense based on this first experience.

Twelvemonth was a wonderful surprise just before a long flight. It felt like an embarrassment of riches to have to choose just a few things on the menu. We wanted to try it all! And everything we did try was a delight. Can't wait to return.

My friends celebrated my birthday at Twelvemonth in Burlingame, and it was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a special occasion.
Read moreThe food was amazing, my favorite dishes were the dumplings and the coconut curry, both full of rich, delicious flavors. My friends loved the sliders, so we ended up trying all of them, and every single one was a hit.
It was such a fun and memorable way to celebrate, and I’m really grateful for the experience. I’d definitely go back again!

Sat at the bar, had some mocktails with De-alcoholized spirits, had a special appetizer (lion’s head meatballs) and the truffle ravioli. Excellent across the board!

Beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, nice menu (changes frequently) and very tasty food.
Read moreThis was our first time visiting and we went for a special occasion (birthday) as it’s a bit pricey for our normal dining experience. But, it was phenomenal and I’m so glad we went.
Split three sides and a lasagna and it was the right amount for two.

Amazing Cuisine - Edit
Our first time here…. It is the good food. We throughly enjoyed the tasting menu. So why not all stars? The front of house staff. Such a shame with such innovative cuisine. They were dismissive, rude and just down right unhelpful. It seemed only the runners and bus staff knew how to be friendly. Even the manager was
Read moreterrible. You could see the kitchen staff hustling and getting the job done, as waiters and mangers chatted with each other and looked at thier phones. Because of our experience with the front of house staff, we have not been back despite the delicious food.
Chef, don’t let your hard work go to waste. Your food is beautiful, but that staff needs an overhaul.
We all have off nights, so do give this place a try, but just know what you might be getting with the front of house staff.
Update: now we have been here 4 times. The food has not been as good, and the staff is much worse. Happy it’s there but needs new front of house management so they don’t ruin the food experience.

Best Restaurant Meal I've Had in Years - Edit
The food was wonderful. The service was great. My husband and I tried 2 appetizers---the white bean dip and the dumplings were both perfect. I had the Squash risotto, and he had the curry. Again, both were perfect. We tested 2 desserts. The chocolate pot de creme was wonderful (and cutely served in a little terra cotta pot). The lemon semifreddo was good, but it wasn't chocolate!

Beautiful and upscale - Edit
This is a very beautiful restaurant to take someone special. They change their menu frequently so I was disappointed they didn’t have a corn dog seen on a previous menu photo. The food is ok- not a fan of Impossible fake meat (which is used a lot) but they do provide falafel and tofu as alternate proteins.
Read moreLots of options and something for everyone. Food is fresh and decor is excellent. It’s quite expensive though
Pros: Good variety of options , Nice decor
Cons: Expensive , Fewer Impossible Meat dishes

Spectacular - Edit
Twelvemonth has a vast and dense menu that is filled with an array of worldwide cuisines! I opted to have the dumplings, chilaquiles, and a beet salad and all were amazing. The ingredients and products they use in their food are very high quality.

Elegant, with creative menu - Edit
This a large plant based elegant restaurant, with indoor, outdoor & bar seating. The menu is varied & changes periodically, & the bar area has some different items. The ambience is nice with high ceilings & nice, calming decor. The food is great. The downside of any restaurant in the San Francisco area is the high cost of food & service. Parking is on the street & in nearby lots. Most recently we have had their dinner prix-fixe menu for $80, & this has been a great experience - seating is in one part of the restaurant, & for each of the 4 courses you can pick between options. Great service from Rafael & Assistant General Manager Kevin Nobles-Naval. Earlier this year, we had dinner for 6 of us - we had lavender lemonade, Sakura blossom, crispy mushrooms, equities, potted pudding, margarita cake, bean stew, dumplings, tea party salad, the following different pastas: campanelle, radiatori, & gnocchi, carrot curry, malasada, affogato & Tahini cake. Make sure you have the potted chocolate pudding for dessert - it is the best! Service has always been good.

Update to my Update - Update after 1 year - Edit
8/15/25. Yeah, I'm vegan so I do hit many of the same spots often. Went to Twelvemonth last night and was pleased to see that they doing well. They took a foray into prix fixe menu only in the main dining room and that fell flat (at $80/per your can see why). I came a couple of weeks ago during that phase and the normally full dinner hour was nearly empty. Last night they had a more robust crowd and the huge patio was almost full thanks to the perfect weather. This restaurant like som many others suffers from huge turnover only exacerbated by the sheer size of the place. Most of my favorite staff are gone but the newer servers are working hard to become new favorites.

Hi,
I've been coming to 12 Month since opening. Love the spot. I've been there perhaps 20 +/- times now, usually bringing a non-vegan with me (I am vegan 12 years, veggie for 50). The initial opening menu was great and I've enjoyed most of the creative concepts in the main menu along with the bar menu.
I ate there last night on a date and I have to say the current menu is falling somewhat flat. The food quality is slipping downward and some of the menu items are a bit edgy for such a small offering. We started with the Fern dish which was underwhelming. Maybe it's because I've never had escargot, and I do know that the majority of your customers are not vegan but it was an odd play for a vegan restaurant. The main of Carrot Curry was also short of their high standard. The vegetables were overcooked. The curry itself was good but the limp vegetables detracted from the dish. I had the 12 month salad which can dusted with whatever that yummy seasoning is and it seems to have changed. It was underdressed and there was some greens past there prime that had turned brown on the tips. The bean soup and bread were both outstanding though!
I eat at all of the bay area Vegan spots, Millennium at least once a month, Both Wildseeds and Skye Cafe in SSF, several vegan spots in the South Bay too. The one thing 12 month is consistently missing in the main menu are proteins. I hope they will think about tempeh, tofu, and combined foods for aminos to assist the vegans. Tofu would have been a great addition to the Carrot Curry, IMHO.
In any case, I love the restaurant and will likely favor the Bar Menu as of right now. Hope the chef is getting out and tasting other vegan menus for perspective.
Thanks and best of luc

Fine Vegan Dining - Edit
If you want an unforgettable dining experience and are willing to pay up for truly inspired high class vegan food, then Twelvemonth is a place you cannot miss in the Bay Area restaurant scene. The dishes are all top notch, the service is fantastic, and the building is gorgeous. I have been here many times and everyone is extremely friendly. Never had a dish that wasn’t excellent. Their cocktail lounge is good for happy hour. Also as a separate business try the Twelvemonth Bakehouse in the morning for coffee and pastries

We came on a day that the Chef's Tasting Experience was optional and enjoyed picking a few items off the menu that suited us for that day. The venue is beautiful and the service and execution feels more upscale - great option for a special occasion or date night. Our meals were full of creative flavor. Bravo!

I enjoyed the beautiful classy ambiance of Twelvemonths. They also have a little bakery next to the restaurant and a bar also. The food is tasty and the staff are nice and very attentive. Yet it was a bit too pricey for what we got $72 per person for coffee, dessert, entree, and shared appetizers.
