Delicious & vegan-friendly

Vegetarian options are clearly labeled and you can opt for fried tofu on several banhwiches. When I asked about making my order vegan, the cashier was super nice and had the info ready immediately. (As a new vegan, I really appreciated this simple kindness - thank you!) A butter wash is used on the baguettes, so I went with lettuce wraps. Delicious, healthy and the perfect fix I needed for a quick lunch.

Fun Boba but bread not vegan

All but one of the boba and smoothies can be vegan.

Unfortunately the bread for the sandwiches is not (egg wash).

Decent Lunch

My non-vegan boyfriend and I stopped here to pick up lunch for a date day at the Sunken Gardens. I have to admit that I was disappointed that the bread options have an egg wash, but glad that staff was knowledgeable as far as vegan options go. It was my guys first time trying a Bahn Mi. He absolutely loved his, I believe it was the #5(the Thai one). He wanted seconds!

Pros: Fresh food, Friendly service , Good for all diets

Cons: Baguette isn’t vegan

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I was introduced to Bánhwich Café by friends obsessed with their bubble teas. I am also now admittedly obsessed with Bánhwich's bubble teas - the boba is always perfect and if you're not in the mood for a fruit iced tea, unlike nearly every other boba place around, they offer almond milk which can be used (for a minimal fee) in their milk teas and smoothies. I really like Bánhwich's sandwiches, too. Just a heads up, if you find jalapeños spicy, you will find these sandwiches spicy. In summary, whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a good boba drink, Bánhwich Café is the place to stop.

Pros: Best boba drinks around, Delicious traditional Vietnamese-style bánhwiches, Loyalty punch cards (Buy 9, Get 10th FREE)

Excellent sandwiches and bubble tea!

I just started to order food here and it doesn't dissapoint! Their banh mi sandwiches are delicious and are easily customized to vegan. They have a tofu vegetarian sandwich that I get omitting the aoli to make it vegan. Their bubble teas are delicious as well.

Pros: Customized vegan options, Vegetarian options available

Yummy bubble tea!

I am a huge fan of bubble tea (who isn’t?) and it can be difficult to find places that will make it vegan! Although vegan substitutions are not listed on the menu, the staff clearly understand veganism and let us know they can make any flavor of bubble tea with almond milk. The tea was wonderful—not too sweet! And the boba were cooked to the perfect texture.
Staff let us know there are several sandwiches that can be made vegan with minor substitutions, and I look forward to trying them!

Pros: Lots of vegan bubble tea flavors!, Staff understand veganism

Cons: Vegan options not clearly labeled
