Nice location, average food - Edit
Zondag is located at the Noorderplantsoen and you have a pleasant view of the park. We visited in winter, but it must be even nicer in summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. A few people sat outside when we were there, but it was very windy. Inside it was cosy and lively, an easygoing atmosphere that was enjoyable.

The baba ganoush sandwich was very disappointing: There was only a tiny bit of baba ganoush on it and it was tasteless and watery. The other ingredients (vegan feta, olives, rucola and bell peppers) were, apart from the feta, rather tasteless, too. It was a very boring and unimaginative dish and I just expected more and better baba ganoush.
The other two dishes were fine, although the sandwich with croquettes was a bit simple, too. It was great to be able to try some vegan bitterballs, though.
However, all the dishes were expensive for what they were.
All in all, we really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere, but the food could have been better.

Prima voor vegan opties. Leuke plek om te zitten in het plantsoen. Fijn dat je er vegan kunt eten als je er heen gaat met vrienden, of op een zomerdag, maar niet veel keuzes helaas. Het eten is wel lekker, niet mega speciaal!

Brownie on a bright sun shiny day - Edit
For my last visit I will give this place a 4-star review because we really enjoyed sitting on their terrace with a delicious vegan brownie made by the local bakery 'Bake My Day'. I am glad Zondag added a second vegan sweet treat to their menu because I have had their vegan cupcake before and that was not really to my taste (I don't like frosting haha...)
Read moreAccording to my boyfriend their coffee was regular. Based on another visit, I don't recommend ordering their chai latte, because it's just a Monin syrup with milk and I was very disappointed with that (I am picky with my chai latte haha!). It also arrived lukewarm.. but they didn't mind reheating it for me.
Their menu clearly indicated the vegan options, so that's good! I haven't had proper food here so might come back for that on another bright sun shiny day ;). This place is also very kid-friendly, they have a kids' menu.
Pros: They change up their menu, The vegan options are indicated, Very lovely terrace for summertime
Cons: Only savoury vegan breakfast options, Chai latte is not authentic
