Overpriced for the quality - Edit
Perhaps we would have felt differently about the quality of this place had we paid only a few pounds for the buffet. As it was, we paid an extortionate amount for a few dishes from the menu one evening and were extremely disappointed in every one. The 'crispy duck' (which I can make myself to taste exactly like real duck) was like flaky pastry. The food was greasy and salty, which is sometimes what you want from a £6 buffet, but not for what we paid. After being so excited to see such an extensive vegan menu, we felt really let down.
Read moreThe staff never left us with a moment of peace and also took our order incorrectly. I was embarrassed to have suggested this place to my friend and considering the quality of other vegan food in North London (Karamel!), which provide great food for far less money, there is no reason to settle for this.

Great meal and kind service - Edit
Met my old friend here and we had a lovely and delicious lunch, wait staff was so kind. I had the hot and sour soup which was delicious, potstickers, Szechuan "chicken", which I loved. We sat in a large comfortable booth and I also had a carrot ginger juice which was fresh. I would highly recommend this place.

The Best Vegan Chinese? - Edit
So, we've always loved the Loving Hut and this used to be one ages ago. They have improved this great formula extending and refining the menu. Over the years we always tend to end up at Zen Buddha to meet with friends: there is something to suit everyone from health-conscious-whole-fooders to junk-food-junkies.

What a find! - Edit
We had an overnight stay in Borehamwood as a family minibreak and this was the closest option that popped up on the HC app. We felt very welcome here! All of the food is cooked fresh to order, nothing disappointed. There is a full vegan menu of around 8 pages! Never been so spoiled for choice. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return 💚

Amazing! So many options - Edit
The experience was great. Went with my partner and we enjoyed every single thing we ordered (he’s not normally vegan and is doing veganuary, but he still loved it) The portions are really generous, we ended up taking a lot away, but it’s great as now we have dinner for tomorrow

When we lived in Barnet this place has a different name but though the name was changed the fabulous vegan food has not.

Excellent steamed tofu in black bean sauce - Edit
My go to Chinese takeaway as i live in Edgware and I'm a big fan of their steamed tofu in black bean sauce (one of the better black bean sauces I've had!). Also enjoy their tempura broccoli too.

Worth a visit - Edit
I've been here a couple times, once for the lunch buffet and once a la carte. The buffet was ok, good value but as with a lot of buffets - it wasn't very hot and it was quite small in comparison to others. A la carte was better, the char siew was amazing and I'd go back for that alone. Spicy mock chicken was also pretty good.

Amazing à la carte all-you-can-eat. - Edit
This is worth the voyage out to zone 5 (the station is accessible on the Northern line, but the restaurant isn’t - please buy a portable ramp!) It used to be run by a cult and I’m not sure if it still is or not... but on the flip side, it runs an amazing à la carte all-you-can-eat. For the princely sum of around £18 (which is a lot but not for what you can end up eating), you can order two dishes at a time and have them brought to you endlessly. I love it. A lot of very fried food and great meat alternatives.
Read morePros: À la carte all-you-can-eat, Lots of great meat alternatives, Vegan dim sum!

Really good classic Chinese food. - Edit
I’d normally go there when in a rush and need to grab something on my way so the buffet take away menu is the best option around. There aren’t many 100% vegan places in the area so I am really thankful for this one. I’ve never tried any “proper” meal from the menu but I’d love to go there for the dim sum one day since I’ve heard many good things about it. It’s a good place if you’re new to veganism/vegetarianism and need it get your “meat” fix since they serve a variety of vegan “meats”. Even my father who is a committed meat eater said their “beef” tasted really authentic.
