Try the cauliflower wings! - Edit
Best cauliflower wings I’d had! They have three kinds - I had the ones with peanuts. Perfectly crispy yet tender in the middle and fantastic taste. Staff is well aware of vegan needs too.

Good vegan options - Edit
I would recommend the curry, the kimchi rice bowl is good, I did not like the "plant based pho" the broth was very sweet. They have fresh salad rolls and fried spring rolls that were also very good! A lot of nice drinks and cocktails as well.

Best Vermicelli Bowl I have ever had!! - Edit
Yum Son is a Vietnamese restaurant with French inspired cooking methods, focused on flavour, and it is very apparent when I tasted their food. I ordered the Sesame Roasted Vegetable Salad Rolls, and the Peaceful Noodle Bowl. We ordered takeout, as it was a really hot day, and we were not up to waiting for a seat on the patio. The waitresses/hostesses were all very friendly, and we were given water for ourselves and our dog while we waited.
Read moreFirst let me just say that in my 2+ years of being vegan, I have not had great experience with salad rolls (bland, boring, sometimes literally noodles and lettuce in rice paper). This restaurant makes veggie salad rolls how they should be. They were flavorful, had a diverse and colourful filling, and came with a delicious peanut sauce on the side.
The Peaceful Bowl was oh.my.gosh. so good. There was just the right amount of tofu, veggies, noodles, and salad. I added a little bit of hoisin sauce, but it honestly did not need it. The lemongrass tofu was so good, and delightfully charred. This was honestly the best vermicelli bowl I have had EVER. I will have wonderful dreams about it until the day I get the privilege of eating it again.
Pros: Great vegan options, Great service, Delicious flavours, attention to detail
Cons: Busy patio

Gone in for appies - Edit
The server informed us the steam buns contain dairy, so got the jackfruit in lettuce wraps instead. Left a lot to be desired. Sounded good on the menu but the taste is quite bland and extremely messy to eat. The salad rolls were tasty but pricey!

top mushroom pho - Edit
Really good plant based pho. Among the best pho I’ve had including meat based broth. Interesting and delicious cocktails too. Upscale place though so a bit pricey for a small/medium bowl of pho.

Best! Pho! Ever! - Edit
The plant-based pho here is the best pho I've ever had. They even had a vegan dessert and the service was great.

Happily nutritioned after leaving this lovely establishment. I had a vegan shittaki n daikon pho with a side of spicy papaya salad with grapefruit. The service was top knoch. Love the open concept with cute grass house entrance. Plus the cocktail where a true treat.
