Bakery
A vegetarian bakery and tea shop with clearly labeled vegan options, such as cake, other sweets, soy milk, chai masala and more. Next door to Four Seasons Restaurant and underneath Black Magic Restaurant. It is super tiny and very busy with monks, nuns, locals. Extremely kind Tibetan woman works the counter. Very friendly and clean cafe. Open Tue-Sun 9:00am-7:00pm.

Vegan coffee cake 👌 - Edit
Slightly moist and quite a large slice. I also enjoyed their book selection. The chai is sugarless I think, so you can add sugar cubes to adjust to your own sweetness level.

Yum :) - Edit
Multiple vegan desserts, soy milk. I got the tsampa balls and they are so perfect. I also got soy chai — be sure to specify if you dont want it sweetened, because they automatically sweetened it here. The staff is friendly. Id definitely recommend

Amazing chocolate cake - Edit
Went many times for a takeaway vegan chocolate cake. Amazing treat! They also offer a vegan kardemom cake, a powerball or something and a vegan delight cake (I think a healthier choice, did not try). Very friendly staff.

Definitely needs improvement - Edit
although it is designed nicely, the place is tiny without windows or air circulation, which personally kind of bothered me for sitting there too long. I wouldn’t recommend it for someone looking to sit for a while to work or just chill. I appreciate the awareness for vegan options, and it is not easy for me to give negative reviews for vegan friendly places but the service there was just bad. I felt unwelcome, my friend and I couldn’t sit there for more than 15 minutes. They don’t offer WiFi, bathroom or even places to sit except two wooden tables. L

Worth a visit! - Edit
When we visited there were 5 vegan options available: 2 type of cakes, chocolate coconut balls, rocky road and chiapudding. The cakes were super tasty and not too sweet, and the chocolate coconut balls were the best I've ever eaten! For 20 rupees extra you can also get soy chai (totals to 40 rupees).
Read moreThe bakery is set in a basement area under the black magic store. When you see white egg-shaped VR-chaurs take the stairs down and the bakery will be on your left.

tiny bakery - Edit
This is run by a Tibetan lady who's quite nice and has a few vegan options such as chocolate cake and a chocolate dessert ball. Take away only. Down some steps underneath black magic, as someone else has said look for the egg shaped chairs street level, and go down the stairs between the chairs.

Cons: not many vegan options as it's small bakery.

Cardamon Cake - Edit
Hard to find little bakery underneath another cafe. Look for the egg-shaped space chairs on the ground level above.
Read moreThe bottom shelf of the display case has all the vegan cakes, including a cardamon cake, chocolate cake, crunchy chocolate cup, and choco bliss balls.
Also serves Coffees, teas, and chais with soya milk.
