Beware the soprasata pizza - Edit
We ordered the vegan cheese pizza with olives, and there was a full menu description of what it was: olives sauce cheese basil, Vegan Cheese of course. But apparently the menu title of the pizza is soprasada, which we did not know is a salami. our vegan cheese pizza comes out with pepperoni looking salami all over it. So we sent it back and they brought out a new one which was good. It was a little dry so if they should add olive oil to make it a little more savory. But I guess you would have to be vegan to know the difference which they are not. All good, I’m glad there are vegan options here. They have several draft beers including up to 9% alcohol but most are six or seven, so be prepared to get a good buzz.!

Vegan cheese option - Edit
The pizza crust is really good. Can’t get gluten free, although we didn’t request it. Did not charge for the vegan cheese, which was a nice surprise. Staff was not overly friendly, but will you let that slide.

Vegan pizza and tasty beer - Edit
Went to Aspen Tap straight from the airport, because the allure of vegan pizza and brews was too strong.
Read moreFood-wise, the menu clearly specifies the vegan items which include marinated olives, a hummus bowl, tomato coconut soup, and the "Very Vegan" sourdough pizza, with roast yam, vegan mozz, pickled onion, walnut, sag. They used to have cashew cheese pizza apparently, but no more.
Beer-wise - what a selection. Nowadays, it seems like breweries will go heavy on the IPAs, DIPAs, etc, and have maybe one lager or pilsner. Instead, I was able to build an entire tap out of what I call "beers that taste like beer" (and a shockingly crisp and dry cider) while my husband built a flight of hoppy beers. The favorite was the Gold Level, which was a dry hopped pilsner, so had a bit of a hop to it.

Fabulous Vegan Pizza - Edit
This is not a vegan restaurant, but they do have a vegan pizza. It was incredible, best we've had in a restaurant. Don't know how they got the vegan cheese to melt and the entire pizza to have the mouthfeel of a non-vegan pizza, but they did. Kudos to Aspen Tap! We have recently gone vegan after being vegetarian for 30+ years, and pizza is what we miss most. SO happy to find this place. Salads are awesome, too.

Pizza and beer - Edit
In a resort town like Aspen, there's only one local brewery, named Aspen Brewing. Aspen Tap is their restaurant and tap room for both their mainstream and limited release beers. I have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised. Their pizza maybe some of the best ‘craft’ pizza Ive had. My favorite is their prosciutto arugula. Stellar. Had it with their Conundrum Red Ale which was perfect with h it and a Moon Eyes Imperial. Holy crap, what a delicious beer. The server told me its very popular and they often run out. I can see why! This place is on my list for anyone in the Aspen area

Vegan Pizza with Cashew Cheese! - Edit
Delicious Vegan Pizza! Pesto sauce, cashew cheese, roasted garlic and balsamic glaze on a sourdough crust. I thought it was a very flavorful pizza and would happily have it again. They also had a vegan soup and it looked like you could make a few other items vegan. Aspen Tap also has great beers and a wonderful location in the heart of downtown Aspen. I've been here twice for dinner and both times it has been very busy.
