If you’re looking for an alternative, sustainable, welcoming, veg’friendly and charming work/coffee/chocolate-shop in Bärn, the Werstadt Lorraine is THE place to visit. This charming cafe located in an old workshop offers a wide variety of local, seasonal, organic and veg’friendly snacks and drinks (even Vegan brunches 🙌). And if you’re a fair-trade chocolate junkie like me, you’re gonna love their fine selection of “Bean-to-Bar” swiss chocolate.

Nice brunch - Edit
We went there for brunch on a Sunday. We had a vegan brunch plate with bread, cheese, a pumpkin spread, vegan sausage and more. It was nice. On Sundays they also offer vegan waffles. The salty one with carrot salmon and cheese was great. The sweet one with maple syrup and blood oranges was quite boring in comparison. They offer oat milk for coffee.

Very tasty brunch with vegan options. On Sundays waffles with different flavores. Staff is very vegan aware and will cater to vegan‘s needs.

Amazing breakfast - Edit
They have daily vegan cakes but what i like the most are the vegan breakfast options! Delicious granola and bread with vegan cheese, i didnt find this in many other restaurants so far! As well for lunch there is vegan options!

Mostly for a drink except for lunch - Edit
The food in the evening is probably nothing to get you a vegan meal but if you want a snack with your beer it's perfectly fine. The lunch menus on the other hand is quite nice with either Indian, momos or other international kitchen - check the "Mittagsmenü" link. No vegan lunch options on Fridays currently.
