Wawin has a huge menu so we were spoilt for choice. The dishes we went for were decent but not mind blowing. Sauces were quite watery. The mixed veg in ok sauce was mainly onions with one or two pieces of broccoli. Salt and pepper chips were ok but a bit soggy... I've had tastier. Seaweed tasted very sugary. Would definitely order again though! There's so much variety... perhaps we just didn't pick their best dishes.

I think it would be good to get one of the protein options. I get the OK sauce personally but with the vegan chicken. I also sometimes get the salt and pepper chicken as a starter. Maybe try that or the tofu! :)

Extensive menu choices that will blow your mind - Edit
It was such a treat to have so many options to choose from - it’s insane! We tried as many different dishes as we could and they were all delicious. The special fried rice - that I’ve never been able to eat in my life was so good, I’d be happy with just a bowl of that!

So happy to have a fully vegan Chinese that delivers to us. There's a huge choice and it usually comes fairly quickly considering it's quite far away. I worked out after a couple of orders that if you don't pick a spice level, that's how to get it not spicy rather than picking mild. Portions are good and we've never had a bad meal from there. Tasty and vegan versions of most of the dishes I used to have.

My favourite thing about visiting the cities in the north is getting to eat Wawin. With all the vegan restaurants around we still opt to get Chinese delivery to our hotel!

The cost is somewhat higher than a regular Chinese, but absolutely worth it!

I was so impressed with Wawin! Lots of gluten free options which is very rare for Chinese takeaway. Rang them to confirm dietary requirements and staff were so incredibly helpful. Huge menu and incredibly delicious - chickn chow mien was the best I’ve ever had! Very cheap compared to similar vegan takeaways in the centre of Manchester and in London/down South. Will definitely be a new favourite when in Manny.

I haven’t had a decent Chinese meal in years so jumped at the chance to order from here while back in Manchester.
Read moreA major plus point is that the menu is extensive and the selection is phenomenal. I ordered a lot of food which will have contributed to it being a very expensive meal, but the cost of items could do with being a little less.
However, the food was overall fantastic, especially the chicken and sweetcorn soup and the duck pancakes. The spring rolls and the salt and pepper chips were a little bit of let down, but I would certainly order from here again.

I order very frequently from Wawin and I must say, although the food is still good, the quality has declined quite a lot. It is expensive and I’m hoping this is a momentary blip but I’m starting to order from other Chinese restaurants to avoid disappointment

The vegan starter box was amazing, really tasty fake meats with crispy skin. The lamb and cashew nuts was delicious and so was the mixed chow mein but I wasn't a huge fan of the fake prawns.

What is not to love about Wawin?!?! So many vegan options. Hot, fresh and delicious dishes. The satay curry was customisable to your spice level and was THE MOST delicious satay curry I have ever had. We had a starter selection, aromatic "duck", prawn fried rice, sweet and sour sauce and satay curry. It was all so tasty and the texture was just like meat. ABSOLUTE WITCHCRAFT.

I’ve gotten takeout from here a few times and it’s been incredible each time, even my boyfriend who isn’t vegetarian absolutely loves it, he adores the mock duck with hoisin sauce

This is the best Chinese I've had delivered in Manchester. Really tasty and a huge menu. My favourite is the salt and pepper "chicken". The Ham in Green Pepper and Black bean sauce was great the first time but not as nice the second time (mid week) so might be dependant on chef or how busy they are
