Great vegan-friendly Japanese cuisine - Edit
Waki Waki is a sweet spot for vegan-friendly Japanese vegetarian cuisine.
Read moreThe extensive menu includes many traditional Japanese staples as well as some creative variations, so fans of either (or both) should be able to find plenty to eat here.
Everything on the menu can be made vegan on request, and the vegan versions are so good that my only question is why they feel like they need any non-vegan options at all.
Service is warm, kind, and helpful. The place is tiny, with seating for just a few people, so coming during off hours might give you better chances of getting a table.
Enjoy!

Pricey but worth it - Edit
The hijack maki was definitely better than the signature waki waki but would definitely go back to try other rolls! The complimentary miso soup was a nice touch

Delicious and beautiful sushi - Edit
We wanted to go to this place for a while already, and yesterday we finally did. I'll advise anyone who wants to go here to make a reservation beforehand, since the place is quite small and can only seat a small number of people. But if you get to eat here, be prepared to be amazed by the delicious and beautiful food.

Really worth a visit when you are in Bangkok.

Mind-Blowing Vegan Sushi - Edit
Simply incredible vegan sushi. They ask you if you are vegan and the entire menu can be made veganized. The sushi was art. Excellent service. Very fairly priced. This pretty much is a “must go” place. Astonishing. High recommend getting reservations since the place has three tables.

Awesome vegan sushi - Edit
So many options for sushi and they can make everything vegan!
Read moreThey also ask are you vegetarian or vegan to make sure when your ordering it was very cool!
My sushi was really good the basic maki rolls are pretty cheap like 60 baht while the fancier rolls are a bit more but you get a huge portion I almost couldnt finish it all but to be fair I did just come after eating at a vegan spot in china town alot of food
There is a limited amount of seating inside and it does feel small but that being said it was good enough to sit and eat the meal

Okay Sushi! - Edit
The menu has a great amount of option - the food is just very experimental and overwhelming. We ordered 2 different plates of sushi and they both had lots of flavours and elements that took away from the enjoyment of the food. For example, the mayo is too heavy and filling and the sushi pieces are so big they’re impossible to pick up with the chopsticks provided. We probably should have ordered one of these dishes with something a more simple dish so do keep that in mind! The staff are kind the the little restaurant itself is wonderful. 🥰

Must try - Edit
Beautifully presented sushi made vegan with ease. Very flavourful food served in an intimate setting / hole in the wall traditional Japanese style. Friendly and attentive staff who speak English and understand vegan concept well. Highly recommend!

I ordered the tofu avocado sushi. While tasty the prices didn't match the portions (aware its sushi). I wish I ordered the plant based curries instead.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! - Edit
Title says it all— this meal was so delicious and they made my birthday feel so special. My bf made a reservation for my birthday (recommended bc the space is very small) and the staff went out of their way to make it special for me.

Flavorful Japanese Restaurant in Bangkok - Edit
A very nice vegetarian Japanese restaurant in Bangkok. I enjoyed all the dishes that I have ordered here, very difficult to choose my favorite dish as all of them are very delicious! The only bad thing about this place is that it is too small, but the food and their friendly staff have made up for it.
Read moreI would recommend that you make reservation before visiting this place, as you might have to wait if there is a crowd, and there is limited seats available in this restaurant.

Top sushi - Edit
I’ve always struggled to appreciate sushi. Having mainly tried it in the UK and the US, where flavors often lean towards the bland side, it just never clicked for me—until now.
Read moreWaki Waki may come at a price, but it’s absolutely worth it. Unsure of where to start, I asked for help, and the staff’s recommendations didn’t disappoint. One standout was the fried garlic, which I’d seen mentioned in a previous post—wow, it was incredible! (Good thing I was dining solo, though!)
If you’re a sushi lover or even someone still figuring it out like me, I can’t recommend Waki Waki enough.

Tasty but expensive - Edit
Great presentation, food prepared quickly, good selection of vegetarian versions of a variety of Japanese dishes. Non vegan options aren’t very clearly marked, although they list the ingredients so you can see which dishes have egg or cheese in them. It’s very expensive for Thailand.

Soooo good! - Edit
Very expensive but we found it to be worth it, as everything we had was sooo flavourful and tasty. Probably the best vegan sushi we’ve had! Also the gyoza and curry were delicious. There’s only eight seats, two of them outside, so reserve if you want to guarantee a table!
