Elevated fusion vegan food - Edit

Read moreIf you’re looking for an elevated, creative vegan meal in Bangkok, Vistro is absolutely the place to go. It’s located right near the Emporium and EmQuartier malls, so it’s the perfect dining spot after shopping in Sukhumvit.
I love the food here. You have to order the 'Vagyu Sando', it’s a Japanese-style sandwich with a Beyond Meat katsu patty that was meaty, savory, and just made to perfection. I also loved the creamy wild truffle dumplings and their rich Khao Soi 2.0.
Pros: Delicious and creative vegan dishes, Beautiful, garden-like interior
Cons: Prices on the higher side but worth it

A nice experience - Edit
I had high hopes for this place. The reviews are very positive. It is quite expensive for what you get. They charge taxes on top of the advertised prices and then they overcharged on the taxes as well. It took a while to sort it out but eventually it was done. The pizza was ok. Probably won't go back.

Vistro – A Plant-Based Gem in Phrom Phong, Bangkok - Edit
Vistro is a standout vegan restaurant tucked away on Sukhumvit Soi 24, offering a refreshing escape from the typical expat-heavy dining scene. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, with plenty of greenery and natural light that makes it feel both cozy and vibrant.
Read moreThe dishes are beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with care. From globally inspired wraps and tacos to creative pasta and hearty bowls, every plate delivers a satisfying balance of taste and texture. It’s vegan food that doesn’t try too hard—it just works.
Orders are placed digitally via a QR code available at each table, making the process smooth and efficient. For larger groups, Vistro offers flexibility: you can either split the bill individually or combine everything into one tab. It’s a thoughtful setup that suits both casual meetups and more organized gatherings.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Even with the digital ordering system, the service feels personal and well-managed. They’re happy to assist with menu questions or dietary preferences, which adds to the overall experience.
Prices are mid-range, but the quality of the food and the thoughtful presentation make it well worth it. Vistro proves that plant-based dining can be both accessible and elevated without being pretentious.
Whether you’re vegan or just curious, Vistro is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious, well-executed food in a laid-back setting. It’s one of those places that makes you want to come back—not just for the food, but for the vibe
Pros: Flavorful, well crafted vegan dishes, Efficient and flexible ordering system, Warm, attentive servic
Cons: Limited seating during peak hours, Digital-only ordering may feel impersonal to some, Some portions are small

Good if need to - Edit
Been here to eat dumplings in the past and did not like much but came back to try some dessert, because I was stuck in rain.
Read moreMuffin was good. Mango sticky rice shake was so small for the price but tasted good. Chai was spiceless.
Honestly dislike the online ordering and paying on tablet at table and then have the nerve to ask for tip via tablet when paying. Did not give any service.

Excellent pizza - Edit
Second visit to Vistro today and the experience was consistently great. Had a margarita pizza and a Samurai salad, both were excellent. Definitely recommended. Service is very good and atmosphere is of a western bistro. I love Thai food and that’s what I have most of the time while in Thailand, but every once in a while there’s a craving for a good pizza and that craving was definitely satisfied today. One down side is the high prices, and keep in mind VAT and service charge are added on top of menu prices. #Veganuary

Large menu of Thai and western foods - Edit
We tried the Portobello steak, which came with arugula, potatoes, and a slightly spicy chimichurri sauce for 340 Baht. We also ordered the burrito bowl for 290 Baht, which featured a delicious combination of tofu scramble, rice, guacamole, and black beans. We finished off the meal with a hot brownie.
Read moreThe food was very good, and it was a refreshing change to have ingredients like black beans and arugula.
However, there were a couple of things I wasn’t fond of. The restaurant requires you to scan a QR code to view the menu, order, and pay. Unfortunately, when paying I encountered an error message written in Thai, though the staff allowed me to pay normally with my credit card without issue. Additionally, they automatically add a 10% service charge, but then the payment screen prompts you to add a tip on top of that. While you can adjust the tip percentage, I suspect many customers might not realize a service charge has already been applied.

Very expensive - Edit
Ordered takeout pizza one night in Bangkok. It wasn't bad, but there was some kind of sauce drizzle on the pepperoni pizza which added an odd, unexpected flavour. Quite expensive for what it was too.

Underwhelming experience - Edit
Today we went to Vistro, excited to taste their food after the raving reviews here and on Google. Unfortunately our experience of our visit was underwhelming.
Read moreThe food definitely looked great, but somehow all dishes had an 'okay' flavour sensation. Something which would be okay for regular Thai prices, but Vistro clearly puts itself in the higher range with their prices (for Thai standards).
The gyozas were fine, but pretty bland (though the sauce gave a kick to it). The bao buns mostly tasted like they were filled with a sweet and spicy sauce and nothing else (which obviously they weren't). The dan dan noodles were a real disappointment. Just a bit spicy, but not much flavour. The khao soi was probably the best dish we had, with a few interesting add ons (so if you are going: order that) and a nice flavour to the stock. On the other hand: we've had loads of khao soi in Thailand and this one is definitely in the lower ranks.
The service wasn't great either. You have to use your phone to look at the menu (which is fine) and also pay online (which definitely makes everything a little less personal). We received our drinks when the food had been on the table for about 10 minutes (starters and mains served at the same time). Just not the best, though the girl serving was really friendly.
Atmosphere of the place is great though and the dishes all look fabulous. But if you're looking for some great (Thai) food: go elsewhere. We paid around 45 euros for our meal, which definitely wasn't worth it.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, Great presentation
Cons: Underwhelming flavours, High prices for what you get

My dream come true, amazing Vegan Dim Dum - Edit
I love Dim Sum. But I have yet to find a totally vegan place to do them, until now. This place was rather quiet which I think is a total shame. If you love dim sum you gotta try it. While they do have other things on offer, I was impressed with what I got and the new twists they added. We got Zatar Fried Chick'n, Fried Gyoza w/ Asian Salsa Verde, Vistro Dumplings, Yin & Yang, XO Dumplings and Eda-mama Dumpling. For drinks we got Pistachio Dream and Garden Gangsta. Everything was pretty delicious with some interesting flavours. My least favorite things were the Zatar Fried Chick'n which was rather dry and greasy and needed a decent sauce and the Garden Gangsta drink. Looking forward to coming back!

Food excellent - Edit
Came back one year later and had another very good meal. The pizza is fantastic as is the deep fried ‘chicken’ made from mushrooms.
Read moreThe only suggestion I would make is that there is too much ‘automation’ - Q code menus and Q code payment meaning interaction with the staff is at an absolute minimum meaning it is rather soulless which is a great shame as the place itself is very funky.
I would come back again for sure but the lack of dialogue makes me think something is missing.
It’s also a way of differentiating from the others when food is not enough.
That’s why it is a 4 not. 5.
Pros: Food, Place
Cons: Little atmosphere , Minimal staff interaction.

Amazing Vegan Find! - Edit
Absolutely loved this place while visiting Bangkok - the interior was beautiful, the menu had so many options and the food was absolutely delicious. My partner had the habibi wrap and nachos to share, I had the truffle mushroom flatbread. Only downside was that the flatbread was so delicious, I ate it all and only managed three nachos! Would definitely recommend, I hope we have time to come back before we head away again.
