This place really started off on the wrong foot. I got there at 12:45, at the start of the lunch time on Saturday. They had a menu board posted at the entrance that showed five different items available for the starter plate. I ordered the mixed salad as a starter but she came back a few minutes later and said they only had two choices out of the five. I reluctantly took the soup even though I didn't really want it. And to top things off, she didn't erase it from the menu board even though she knew it wasn't available. The vegetable soup she brought me I would classify as average. The meal also came with a drink called emoliente, which I've had before, but this one had a dark brown color, and the flavor wasn't that good. The main plate that I ordered was Saltado de Legumbres. It was a little bit of broccoli, carrots and mock meat and lots of onions over a bed of french fried potatoes and it came with brown rice. The dessert was a rice and coconut mixture which was tasty. I went on a Saturday for lunch and the meal of the day was 15 soles. They may have a lower price Monday through Friday. The other three vegetarian restaurants I know of in this area charge less and the food is better. The place is very busy for lunch Monday through Friday so it has its fans, but once was enough for me.
