Do not recommend; needs major improvements - Edit
This was really a disappointment. The hot flourescent lights were an unwelcome greeting, and the food was no improvement. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo which was just noodles with five slices of pepperoni on top. Not a single vegetable. I would not recommend the dish; the sauce was fine and the pepperoni was actually really good, but the dish was a slog of carbs. My dad's mushroom stroganoff was not much different; it was mostly onions for some reason? The dishes came with a "chicken" soup that was quite good; I especially liked the "bacon" bits in it, they has a nice texture and flavor.
Read moreThe kitchen's plant-based proteins show promise for this restaurant, however the horrid ambiance and overly simplistic dishes make this the least loving Loving Hut that I've been to.
Pros: Strong plant-based meat game
Cons: Ambiance set to "horror movie", Dishes were hard to finish

Re Rico - Edit
Really yummy and good amount for the price. Got the Bisteak which comes with rice, chips, sauce and drink. Was really filling. Just make sure to mix in the sauces overwise it might be a little plain.

Traditional Peruvian food in a vegan way - Edit

Very good food - Edit
I went for lunch on a holiday Monday in May 2023. The meal of the day comes with three choices for the first plate and three choices for the second plate. It also comes with a small drink. I chose the Papa a la Huancaína for the first plate and lentils with tofu and salad for the second plate. I thought that everything was very tasty. Currently the meal of the day costs 14 soles. This restaurant is open every day, even on Sunday and holidays although they close at about 7:30 p.m. on those days.

Daily lunch in not a miss - Edit
My plate didn't look anything special, but don't let it fool you - the taste is great, the portions are ok and it's very cheap! I ordered the daily lunch (soup, main course and I even got a glass of tee) for around 3 euros.
Read moreThe only con that I saw, was that they don't have menu in English and the staff can't speak a word of English so they can't help you🙂 (I think they also have fried vegan fish and vegan nuggets). But it was still nice and if you don't understand the menu, just order the daily lunch.

delicioso y barato, a must eat spot in lima - Edit
Read moreUPDATE: Definitely one of the best reastaurants in Lima, and its ALL VEGAN. You can take the healthy route with a salad appetizer and a bean and rice dish, or you can go all out and get causa rellena with tacu tacu for your entrée and a piece of cheesecake for dessert, depends on what you're craving.
UPDATE 2: still amazing and still functioning with all the biosecurity protocols! same prices, same food :)

5 stars all round!!! - Edit
To start with I can’t thank the staff enough for staying open to serve me and my friends. We on the off chance showed up with 15 minutes till close which is bang out or order anyway I know, but they didn’t even bat an eye lid and accommodated us so well. The staff were very friendly and so helpful with translating and recommending their best dishes. The food was amazing!! If you’re ever in doubt just ask what they think is best. You won’t be disappointed at all. Huge thanks again for the hospitality!!!

Flavorful food at good price. - Edit
Pleasantly surprised by this small restaurant. I usually don’t like fake meat but I ordered the parradilla which was amazing. It had a lot of spices and flavor. For lunch they have a set menu for S/15 I believe. Dinner was a la carte. Staff very friendly. The torta de chocolate was incredible... one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d definitely go back. Very filling as well.

Friendly staff went the extra mile - Edit
Food was amazing, but leaving this review because the staff was so amazingly nice to my non English speaking tourist self. After I realized that Google didn't really work with the regional dialect the manager came to meet me and worked out my order from my terrible attempts at Spanish and his shy but competent English. When I paid I took my change and was out the door, turns out I had forgotten about 3 Sol (they had gone in the back for more change and didn't understand that they had tried to say wait a minute). I get a full 2 minutes away when I hear someone behind me yelling 'mister' and it was the counter girl who chased me down to deliver 3 Sol change. I felt so dumb and apologized. She laughed and thanked me for eating there again.

Delicious and cheap - Edit
This is not a super elegant restaurant is more like a typical peruvian restaurant that offers menu that you find at any street, which is not bad unless you like fancy places and is good because it can get to more peruvian people!. It has a good amount of tables and sells vegan products such as maca, quinoa, soja, etc. and some desserts as well.
Read moreNow the food is really nice, what I like the most is that they make traditional peruvian food with the exact same taste but vegan!! so it's amazing.
The only bad thing I would mention is the service. The waitresses may forget to bring you the food included in your menu like the dessert or the drink, or they may not even notice you are there to take your order. However, once you order the food comes quite fast and it's really good and also cheap!,
The location I think it's great, specially because it is the light in a place surrounded by all kinds of meat restaurants lol, and you don't have to walk a lot to get there from the Javier Prado (one of the main avenues in Lima).
It's great!.
Pros: Food, cheap and served fast, Sells vegan products, Location
Cons: Could improve service

Cheap and plentiful - Edit
This eatery, which shares the location with a shop selling vegan products, offers a fixed all-vegan menu that changes daily. When I went I had a large bowl of minestrone soup followed by a plate of beans, rice and tofu, all accompanied by a glass of cold tea. The food was fine (although the combination of the three ingredients in the main course gave my digestion something to think about a few hours later!), it arrived promptly and there was a lot of it. For all of the above I think I paid 10 soles, which is something like €3.50 - I'd probably have paid more if I'd bought the ingredients and made it myself at home! If they don't offer the most exciting fare, that's OK with me for that price.
Read moreAs for the local area, it's true that this isn't the most upmarket part of the city, and I might think twice about going there on my own after dark, but Lince (the district) is a busy place with a lot of passersby, and even as a lone foreign female I didn't feel especially unsafe at teatime in summer.
Pros: Vegan, Filling, Cheap
Cons: Unexciting

A vegan meal that will make you replete for the day. - Edit
I‘ve visited Golden Food in June 2016
Read moreThis is a very simple cafeteria with a lunch set that changes every day.
I found the food to be tasty, but the portions were way too large for me (you can ask for a “doggy bag”).
The atmosphere is that of a typical Peruvian cafeteria, however the service was nice.
I found it to be very cheap, especially considering the amount served.
Besides the lunch menu there are also other snacks and desserts available.
Pros: tasty food, good selection
Cons: none
