An awkward experience. - Edit
We visited with group of 6 on a Thursday evening at 8pm, along with many of the menu items omitted with masking tape, we were informed when we ordered that there was no pizza, no ravioli and no lasagne, which was another 3rd of the menu, so we had another think of what to order while we watched another couple be seated and choose pizzas before being informed they weren't available. There was a mild aprehension about the size of the dishes and what we had in store. The awkward translation of the menu gave a few laughs, but left us with a few doubts... a mushroom jumping, vegetables to the east and vinegar of the house, or the raw onion sauce of the north. We were asked about allergies and if we wanted sugar in the lemonade. We rejected the mineral water as it turned out to be treated Coca Cola water. When I explained this mistake I was not offered an alternative drink, the waitress simply took the bottle from the table (at this stage it was not looking promising and I was wishing we had gone elsewhere). The plates came and the portions were just a little small, but with the last garlic bread they had and a portion of patacones it was quite adequate. We overheard the couple next to us respond to the waitress that the portions were too small as had one of our party, but they were not offered anything more for this feedback. We also saw two groups walk out as the menu omissions didn't leave them with enough choice. We were entertained here and we laughed a lot, but we could feel the insecurity of the waitress who apologised to one of our party because he had simply finished his meal.
Read moreWe wouldn't return to a restaurant where they clearly have problems managing the expectations of their primary clients (conscientious vegans) and are grasping towards a more exclusive business model, it's confusing to be presented with farm fresh and organic food practices, then be offered acidic water from Coca Cola.
Pros: There's a lot of potential here.
Cons: Awkward slogan customer service.

Best vegan-Peruvian food in Cusco - Edit
I’m so sad I discovered this place in my last day in Cusco. I ate a Pasta a la huancaina with soy meat, and it was just delicious. The service is also excellent. If you go to Cusco, you must try this restaurant.

Very, very, very good vegan food, absolutely the best I had in Peru, actually even in whole South America.

I highly recommend this place, it's fantastic!!

Such a nice little vegan food place. Located in a nice historic area, this small restaurant is run by lovely people. Only open for about a year, they serve some of the best tasting and most beautiful looking vegan dishes I have ever had. Seriously.

Delicious vegan ravioli - Edit
We are here a few times over the course of a week and were really impressed with the pastas and vegan pizza. I haven't had anything nearly as good as the pesto raviolis elsewhere and the cheese used really added to the dishes (I usually find vegan cheese a bit gross).
Read moreI didn't personally like the brand of soy meat used in dishes as it tasted too meaty, but my boyfriend didn't mind - so if that's something you don't tend to like much, maybe avoid those dishes.
The place itself is cosy, the food is well presented and reasonably priced, so would recommend

maybe I came on a bad day... - Edit
I was so excited to try this place after the glowing reviews and the fact that it was also in close proximity to my hotel in San Blas.
Read moreThe owner was not friendly or welcoming to me at all and I got the feeling that I was inconveniencing him by eating there for dinner...as I was the only one in the place from 6-7PM.
I ordered their Papa a la huancaína which had a gorgeous presentation but was terribly bland. I also had their mushroom/seaweed soup which was very tasty and had a great flavor.
The place was a 50/50 for me, especially considering how not welcoming it was, I am not sure I will return with other good options in the area.
Pros: vegan, well-priced
Cons: unfriendly, food is hit/miss

best vegan food in Cusco! - Edit
I lived in Cusco for two months and this was the best Vegan food I had during my whole trip. The pizza was delicious, hearty, fresh, and very filling. The owner is also so friendly waits/makes the food himself. I had a pineapple juice, pizza, and carrot cake and I'm so happy I ate here the day before I left otherwise I would have missed out! It cost less and tasted fresher than many other Vegan restauruants I'd been to near the plaza so the quality is impressive.

Wow factor! - Edit
Still can't believe that the owner is also Chef and waiter, him and his assistant will prepare you amazing vegan food in a tiny kitchen. The lasagne have to be the specialty dish of this place - the best ones I had in my life, they were so moist! Also the presentation is amazing, you feel like in a 5-star restaurant, the difference is that it's cheap and the owner is so humble! Love the coziness of the place, while you wait for your food to be served you can play jenga ;)

food made with love, attention and creativity - Edit
The man who runs this place and who is a complete delight is so attentive to his customers and his food, it was nearly enough to make me weep. He begun by apologising profusely that there would be a long wait (and I could see why as he only had one lady helping him). I told him it wasn't a problem and boy was I glad I waited, as were the other customers in the place who I exchanged words with on how good the food was. I savoured every mouthful, it was just lovely.

beautiful vegan food made with so much love and care! - Edit
We were blown away with the quality of the food here. We came one night with a larger group of 5 of and there were already a few in the restaurant as everything is made fresh there was a bit of a wait but we were given a jenga set to play with so we hardly noticed the wait. It was worth it though as all the food we had was beautifully presented and tasted delicious - you really felt the love in all the food!

Excellent food - Edit
I read that the place was had only 3 tables, but I counted 5, so no need to worry about seating availability. The menu has so many interesting options it is difficult to choose. There were many pasta options, but I wanted to try a peruvian criole dish and ordered the saltado. Never has soy meat been so tasty before! Absolutely bursting with flavour. And not expensive for 18 soles. Had it not been my last night in Cusco I would very happily have returned here to try out more dishes.

Gorgeous Food, Great Owner - Edit
Food is delicious and beautifully plated. Lunch menu is well priced. It's easy to spend $10usd here if you want the full experience. Most main courses are around $5 for dinner, plus $2-3 for a drink and $3-4 for dessert. This is the perfect place to splurge on amazingly plated, fresh vegan food.
Read moreOne thing, the owner is typically working the kitchen by himself, so food can take a long time. I watched a few people walk out of the restaurant because he didn't come to their table right away to take their order, as he was working on other guests' orders. Know this going into the restaurant and you'll be all good.
The pizza is effing wild. So incredible. Best vegan pizza I've had to date.
Pros: All-vegan, Tasty, Cool owner - plays great music

This place is awesome. The menu is so extensive it took my friend and I nearly an hour to decide. The guy who runs the place is so lovely that he didn't seem to mind at all. The food was so good, I ordered one of his veganised traditional vegan dishes and it was super yummy. I noticed he was playing my favourite band's music as well then he let me play a bit of music through the speaker. All in all a really great experience. I would highly recommend

We've been to numerous vegan restaurants in many places around the world, and this was hands-down, 100%, without-a-doubt the best lasagna we've ever had. Ever.
He creates everything by hand, and there's a special attention to detail in how to not just replicate but innovate and improve on standard recipes. He doesn't allow anything in his restaurant to be less than awesome.
My wife even cried eating a dessert she hadn't had since childhood and never thought anyone would make a vegan version.
Please go support this amazing, delicious, independent vegan business!
Has more tables now, has a bigger menu now, and everything we tried was awesome, especially the desserts!

This place was fantastic. The only is a solo worker who makes all the meals fresh and full of ingredients. We had a pizza and lasagne and i will come back for sure to try more of the menu! Lovely vegan place has a cozy feel with only a few tables. Back to the pizza, which is so delicious I think it'll appear in my dreams.

Super delicious, a must-do in Cusco - Edit
Vida Vegan bistro is probably the best that Cusco can offer for vegans and non-vegans alike! We went there randomly one day and kept coming back almost everyday. The owner is a nice local guy, he makes everything from scratch - different types of vegan cheese, vegan sausage etc. If you want to try traditional Peruvian foods (even ceviche!) in vegan version - this is the place to go. He also seems very passionate about the food he's making and takes care that everything is fresh and of great quality (he's also the cook). Every meal we ate there was delicious and full of flavour. Portions are large, one meal will fill you up for good. Just great!

Amazing Homemade Food! - Edit
My boyfriend and I visited multiple times during our stay in Cusco. The food is absolutely amazing! One guy who is the Chef and the owner makes everything from scratch! We had ravioli and other pasta dishes and they were the best pasta dishes we ever had! Best and only place to have a Vegan Pisco Sour! (We would keep going back for the pisco alone) Excellent experience! We felt like we were in his home rather than restaurant! He has games and books for you to entertain yourself while you wait for the food! Great place to have a leisurely dinner.
