Vegetarian burger cafe est. 2019. Offers a variety of sauces for the different flavors of burgers. Can make vegan upon request. Reported closed February 2024.
This vegetarian burger vendor is one of the numerous counters in iPlaza on the first floor. The menu is a little bit misleading when trying to understand what their vegan options are. After speaking with the staff, I found out that there’s only one patty option that is vegan (crispy fried chicken burger), and you can pick from four vegan sauces: salsa, kimchi salsa, peanut butter, and black pepper. The vegan sides are as labeled on the menu: French fries and hash browns. All vegan combos are NT$105. I decided to go with the PB sauce since I’d never had a burger with that before. They were happy to put the burger in the glass container I brought, but there wasn’t enough room for the fries, so they used a paper bag for those.
I walked my order around the corner to the standing table in the common dining area to give it a try. The patty was really small, taking up only about 70% of the bun area. It was a little bit crispy, and the PB sauce was fragrant. I enjoyed the fluffy bun, non-iceberg lettuce, and tomato slice, as well as the thicker cut, double-fried French fries. I thought they were flavorful enough without using ketchup.
The food wasn’t bad, but it fell short of my expectations given the patty’s small size and lack of vegan options. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.
