Amazing, try the black Seasame! - Edit
I’ve had loads of vegan ramen all over Europe and North America and the black Seasame spicy dan dan ramen here is one of the most flavourful and unique ones I’ve ever tried. We got it with Tempe which was done perfectly, they had tons of add-on options and I wish I’d tried more of them. As far as I can tell is vegan besides an add-on of a fermented egg.
Read moreWe also had the kimchi and two cocktails which we also great and creative (Campari margarita and lemongrass G&T)
Pros: Loads of options , 95% vegan, Unusual options not always present for vegans!
Cons: Super small place so you may have to wait

Good and unique - Edit
Its good but if you're very hungry at the moment this place might not be a good idea because the wait time can take up to an hour.

Very tasty original ramen - Edit
Can highly recommend the "Spicy Dan Dan Ramen all vegan stars". It was extremely tasty! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Next time, I will definitely also try the vegan cashew nut ice cream.

Best ramen west of Fukuoka - Edit
Happy to report that they have ten seats in the new location. Menu is almost entirely vegan except for egg and cheese powder (which you can leave out of any dish). Also has a new vegan cashew ice cream.

Hole-In-The-Wall Ramen Place That's The Real Deal. - Edit
Was one of my favourite meals in Hanoi and was an excellent find. It's a tiny, tiny location. There's seven seats around an open kitchen where they prepare the ramen. When we were there, it was the Japanese chef with one assistant and they took their time over everything. There were multiple other tables queuing but they kept their focus on exactly what they were doing.
Read moreI don't know if they treated the waiting customers that well. I mean, they kept some waiting a really long time and others, they sent to the cafe next door to wait, and on some occasions, they had to eat their meal there! Still, none of this stressed the staff and they kept calm and entirely focused on the meals they were making.
The menu has some decent variation whilst still being small enough to keep the quality up. We had three of their dishes and all of them were exceptionally well-flavoured and the ramen itself was slowly-prepared and of how quality. The tomato miso ramen was a particular creamy highlight whereas the Spicy Dan Dan noodle did have a proper spice kick to it. It was great eating!
Just to reiterate, the place is really small! Would recommend you getting there ahead of time and before the queues but, if you manage it, it really is a worthwhile eat and something different while you're in Hanoi.
Pros: Very Authentic. , Genuinely Good-Tasting Ramen Broths., Such A Cute Place.
Cons: Small Location Won't Be For Everyone., Basic Service.

Delicious ramen - Edit
I used to live in Japan, and ramen was a favourite dish. Since going vegan nearly 10 years ago, I've only found 2 places offering vegan ramen with a real depth of flavour - T's Tantan (a famous veg ramen place in Tokyo), and now this place. It's delicious, highly recommend!
Read moreNote, it's small, popular, and service is on the slow side. You may need to book (we were lucky as we came early, others got turned away), but the ramen really is some of the best
Pros: Some of the best vegan ramen you'll find anywhere
Cons: Small - fills up fast, A little slow from order to getting food

You NEED to come here - Edit
This place has the BEST vegan/vegetarian food in Vietnam. The food is amazing and the drinks are too. All their noodles and soups are vegan, some of the optional toppings, such as eggs, are not, but other than that everything is vegan and delicious. I'd want to come here even if I weren't vegan. It's disappointing that it has so little reviews to help boost it.
Read moreI'd recommend the spicy dan dan ramen with kimchi. It's one of their best sellers and I can see why.
The only bad thing about this place is that there are only two people working there, there is very minimal seating and a very long wait time for food. If you're the only person there then it only takes about 10-20 minutes but if it's busy then it'll take up to an hour. The pricing is reasonable but high. The prices for a bowl of noodles range from 90k-150k.
I'd recommend going on a Thursday as it seems that's their least busy day. They open at 5pm and close at 10pm. They're closed on Mondays.
Pros: AMAZING food, Nice staff
Cons: Long wait time

Food good, service extremely slow - Edit
I really wanted to like this place, after I read a review on a Vietnamese foodie website. The food was in fact good (I would rate it 4 stars), but the service was an absurdity.
Read moreFirst, we were three couples waiting outside until there was free space. I was with my couple first on the queue. After a group left, the waiter informs us that there was space only for one, so the three couples decided to wait. That is, until one couple arrived and the waiter accommodates them first, without calling any of the waiting ones.
Second, the service is extremely slow. As in really, extreme. There were two waiters for 8 customers. During the first 20 minutes, all customers (4 couples) were waiting without any food or drink. I guess they could have served first the entries (like edamame) or the drinks, so we don't wait. But their own business model, so I don't want to interfere.
The dishes are prepared sequentially. That is, the first customer (not couple, customer) gets the first ramen and the drink. Then they start with the second one. One of the waiters seemed like an apprentice, and the other seemed more experience but working in a state of parsimony, like meditating. All-in-all: we were waiting for around 30 minutes to get a seat (despite a couple that they allowed to enter without queuing), and around 1 hour to get one ramen each. Again, it is a pity because the food was good, but being an Izakaya style place I do expect food to be served... just not so extremely slow.
Pros: Food is good, Prices
Cons: Service speed

Move over pho, ramen is the best noodle soup there is - Edit
Ok maybe it's rude or blasphemous to talk ill of pho in Hanoi (I love pho don't get me wrong) but after 6 months of eating sooo much Vietnamese food, it was so special to eat something so different.
Read moreThis place is bang on. It's a more pricey than a lot of the food you can get here (100k +/-20 a bowl) but god damn, it's worth it! I got the spicy dan dan and my partner got the miso and both were spectacularly layered and had a depth of flavoured we hadn't experienced in a long while. Having a peak at everyone else's bowl + the smells coming from the 'kitchen' directly in front of you were totally tantalising.
Service is slow and there's only about 7 seats, so if it's full - too bad. But 100% worth it and is a little treasure amongst all the amazing (vegan) food here in Hanoi. A must try!

So good! - Edit
A great place. The food is delicious and all veggie friendly. There are lots of things to choose from the menu but I recommend the Spicy Dan Dan noodles (though you can’t go wrong on any choice). A great place to eat and in a really cute setting. The restaurant is quite small but they also do takeaway.

Cozy vegetarian ramen place - Edit
Really good ramen, Note that the ramen noodles include eggs but you can exchange them for rice noodles, you can also choose a couple of other toppings like sea weed, tofu sheets, boiled eggs, Worth a try.
