Lovely spot

Have at it: everything is vegan.

Even those fried wontons? The risotto? The quesadillas? Those delectable slices of mont blanc and tiramisu?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes! The appetizers are so much fun, and so are the desserts.

The odd thing is that you have to pay for each round of orders separately. For instance, if you don’t know which cakes you want when you order the apps and entrées, you need to pay for the latter first and then come back to order and pay for the former. I’m not sure why.

If you flash your Plants Fan VIP card on a weekday and spend at least NT$500 on a single payment/order, you get 10% off your bill. Yay!

Pros: 100% vegan, Delicious

Cons: A little bit pricey, Pay as you order

Nice place worth a try

Nice vegan restaurant in Tauching. Tried the pasta, soy latte, and dessert. Everything was good. The taro dessert looked and tasted delightful. I was happy to see Tabasco as a condiment as the pasta had little seasoning. One turn off of the place was the loud sneezing from kitchen.

Pros: Vegan galore-no need to confirm vegan ingredients

Cons: Sneezing from kitchen

Every day is Vegan day

Veganday Cuisine really makes me amazing, whether its main course, side dish, dessert, drink, decoration, owner, staff, etc. All done very complete and perfect! Super envious of you living in Taichung, please to come to Hong Kong to open one for us!

They know what they’re doing

They’ve set this restaurant up really well. The interior is great and the staff are lovely. The menu is clear, the dishes are mostly Italian, some with a Taiwanese touch. I got the wontons and the creamy pasta. Both dishes were delicious, especially the pasta. Only issue I had was my appetiser came out well after I had finished my main, but I’m not too fussed about that. Cost me a little over $400 for the lot.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Everything is delicious

Awesome new store of the guys from Blue&Someone

Don't be fooled of the few reviews as this is a relatively new place but it is one of the best places to get vegan Western food. Apart from the awesome main dishes also try their starters like Cauliflower wings and Nacho chips

Pros: Western tastes, great flavors, Cozy atmosphere , Fast service

Cons: Too tasty - you might overeat, Too cozy - you might forget about time

Best in Taichung

This restaurant is the newest creation of the famous Bluesomeone, Taiwan's most famous vegan food blogger, who now devotes most of her time to this and her namesake cafe. It's clear that her years of blogging and trying all vegan food in Taiwan (and Japan, and elsewhere) have paid off, and here she serves great Western / fusion food in a very weclomming restaurant.

I think I'm qualified to say that this is the best food in Taichung, so if you have just one meal, make it here. Her cafe has a fancier interior (like an old British pub) and offers a more unique dining experience (and a few main dishes as well), and is closer to the station. So if food is your priority, go to Veganday. If you just need to wait out some time before your train, and a light meal, go to Bluesomeone's Vegan Cafe.

Pros: Great vegan food!, nice interior, very reasonably priced for food this good

Cons: bus, taxi or Youbike ride (or long walk) from stn

Fantastic food and service

I would highly recommend a stop for a very delicious lunch or dinner. The staff are friendly and the food is great. DO not miss the Fried Wonton - its all Western deliciousness inside, quite a surprise. I also had a pasta dish and then had to have the Tiramisu and Green Tea Latte. I was very happy with everything and would definitely go again if I am in Taichung.

Pros: Neat clean space, Delicious food
