So Nice, Visited Twice - Edit
The gyros and sweet potato fries were yummy and satisfying. Vegan gyros are hard to find. We had lunch one day, breakfast the next. Tried to have an evening milkshake but it had just closed.

We were looking for something other than a vegan burger so popped into Vegan on the Fly. We ordered the gyro, not McChicken and a small mac n’ cheese. Th mac n cheese was saved for later because the sandwiches filled us up. The fro was excellent. I didn’t taste the chickenless sandwich but my daughter said it was great. Food was made fairly quickly. The veggies on the sandwiches were fresh. Sauce on gyro was great. Seating is limited- would recommend ordering and eating at Bryant Park.

Interesting dishes which are served hot and relatively quickly. Food menu is posted in several locations and there is a small area to wait or eat in the rear of the store. Didn't see a rest room though

I came here for lunch, and it was so good that I came back for dinner. Both times I had the falafel gyro sandwich. Both times it was fabulous.
Read moreWhen you get the food “for here” they still wrap the gyro up nicely, so I could pop it in my bag and walk to a nearby outdoor spot to eat. When you order “to go” they’ll give you a bag with handles.

Read moreVegan On The Fly represents everything right with the world, nestled into Manhattan’s quick and cool scene. The menu has an abundance of options from sandwiches, platters, and fries. There is a reward points system and for a good reason why. The food is bussin’ in terms of fixing your pregnant wife’s food cravings and getting your non-vegan friend to say “I do.”
There is a picturesque backdrop in the restaurant with a neon sign you can take pictures in front of. I’ve had the burger, soft serve ice cream, and Mac platter. The sauces they use are to die for.
The only issue is the crowded hallway when you walk in between customers ordering their food at the kiosk and the delivery ride share app goers coming in between each other. My tactic is to find a seat in the back and order from my phone to dine in.
This restaurant is considered a 10 out of 10 on the sexiness scale. Thanks for everything!

Vegan OTF was GREAT. I only tried two things, the Mac N Cheese and the drum sticks. Both were great. The mac n cheese was especially good. It was so rich, cheesy, and creamy and, of course, all vegan! The wait time was a little long, as you order at the window upon entry. They have a cool little seating area and a parklet as well.

Stopped by this place on my way to Times Square. Staff was super friendly and gave me a couple recommendations. Ended up going with a Nashville hot veg chicken sandwich and deluxe fries to go along with it. sandwich was flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. Also loved the fries they had grilled onions on them which were great! So happy with my experience can’t wait to visit again (soon!!)

I Can Eat "Chicken" Over Rice Again ;) - Edit
For anyone familiar with New York City's food scene, Chicken over Rice is a popular street food dish due to The Halal Guys food cart near the MoMA. Ever since I turned vegan, I stopped eating it until Vegan on the Fly opened.
