Sooo many options of vegan junk food. I haven’t been able to try everything but so far the food is so good if you want to indulge!! Prices are very fair for what you get. The service is easy and straightforward. Honestly I go whenever I get the chance to visit Dam bcus the burgers and the sides are tastyyy.

Read moreThe classic shawarma tasted like meat, I was almost scared!! Everything was very tasty, it's a big plate but you don't feel like you are stuffed or that you ate oily and junk good. It was amazing. My sister tried the Kapsalon and it was also veeeery good, but we had to take the jalapenos off because they were too spicy. I was amazed, please open one restaurant in Portugal!

Before I moved to Amsterdam I was so so soo very excited to visit the Vegan Junk Food bar and you know the saying "never meet your heroes" well I guess that applies to restaurants you have been drooling over for a year!
Read moreWe arrived at our reservation only to be told they had not space for us and asked us to come back in 45 minutes. I pleaded with them to allow us to sit at the bar as there was clearly space and was greeted with a firm no. My partner then got involved and managed to get us sitting at the bar. Minutes after sitting we got asked to move 2 stools up and again got asked to move back..anyway lets go with the flow. 45 minutes later there was still not space but to our surprise the people we had to move for are now munching down on burgers as we are waiting to be seated and order food. My partner got up and approached the man who we spoke to on the way in and asked why we can not order food but people beside us can and he said well "if you stay where you are you can order". We still have not even been given a menu by the way so we grabbed one ourselves and tried to order...no one came... now well over an hour after being seated I went to the side of the bar and asked very nicely can we please order "someone will be with you soon". I sit down and 11 minutes later a girl comes to take our order. We sighed in relief and laughed well at least that is over!
Then comes the food without our drinks that we ordered more of and by the time I went to ask " excuse me, have you forgotten our drinks" she had disappeared! So up I go again to the side of the bar, asked for our drinks which took 10 mins.
I looked at my partner and it looked like they are in pain. Turns out there was a piece of a metallic object in the burger that had just stuck into my partners gums and later after returning home and noticed had broken part of there dental crown which was very expensive to fix. The annoying thing is when we brought it up to the staff, they did not seem at all concerned. They took the piece of metal from me and when I asked for it back it was never given! Never found out what it was.
After that we payed up and left to no apology. The food was OK but to be honest nothing like what I had imagined.
My opinion, it is a well marketed Vegan chain that is more hype than substance. Loose the branding and there is nothing special left. Better places in Amsterdam with nicer staff and better food for a better price without the Vegan cash grab vibe.

This place was just fun! The food was great, well presented and tasty too. Waiter suggested we try the shrimp and it was amazing. They even had the red vein. Wait times were a bit much, but the place was very busy as well.

This place has a great variety of delicious vegan junk food. I would recommend the different varieties of vegan kapsalon (loaded fries with shawarma). If you are there for the first time, be careful not to order too many snacks for starters, because the loaded fries and burgers are very filling. The only con of this place is that you might have to wait for a little while before you can sit and order, because it is a crowded, popular place.

We were seriously blown away by the burgers here. They were fun, tasty and super filling. The decor is entertaining and modern, the staff were all friendly. The only thing letting the side down is the desserts. This junk food vegan has a sweet tooth 😉.

This is a must-go if you’re in Amsterdam. Absolutely amazing burgers, kapsalon, salads, delicious fries, nice drinks and tasty deserts! There price are a bit higher than normal, but it’s definitely worth it! The portions are very big too, so it’s reasonable!!

Read moreI had the chkn ceasar salad with a original VJFB burger and truffle fries. All were amazing, especially the chkn in the salad. My sister had the Pinky Bratwurst and my fiance had the loaded fries and agreed it was all delicious.
VJFB is a must go for anyone visiting the city, so sad we live so far away.

Probably the best place to get great vegan junk food in Amsterdam. And luckily the VJFB can be found on a couple different locations (four restaurants and counting). Everything is good: the burgers, the shawarma, the fries. And the portions are pretty generous. The staff is.. very hip, and to be honest, they can be a little distracted and forgetful. But the food is totally worth it!

I had the shrimp Caesar salad and chickpea fries. They get the sauces and the textures all right. Wish I had time to come back and sample everything from the menu! It’s in a lively little square. Perfect for a summer dinner and beer outside.
