Could be much better - Edit
This restaurant is located very conveniently and I liked the unconventional, but cozy interior. The staff were friendly (if a bit confused) and service was quick. Unfortunately, I did not like the food too much. I had a burger and sweet potato fries, and both were quiet bland, too greasy and the fries nearly cold.
Read moreI do hope they really will re-open, though, as it is a convenient spot in Soho and I'd surely try another meal there because it was still a nice place.
Pros: Good location, Friendly staff, Cozy place
Cons: Food not so tasty

Refused to serve me - Edit
I arrived at 10 past 12pm on a Friday. This was my last day in the UK and I really wanted to have a full English breakfast since I don't know when I'll be back and this was my last chance to experience the English tradition. They said breakfast had finished 10 minutes prior and they refused to make me it. On Google it said they opened at 11am so I thought they'd still be open for breakfast but that was wrong. I know England likes their rules but not compromising for being 10 minutes late under the circumstances was extreme even for English standards. It really gave me a very unhappy ending to my trip. If the staff aren't prepared to compromise in the slightest they're going to end up with very unhappy customers. Or no customers, in my case, as I quickly left the cafe almost crying. I was quite upset because I'd scheduled this breakfast into my trip and was really looking forward to it. I'd also walked 20 minutes in the rain and hadn't eaten all day and then had to find somewhere else to eat.
Read moreThe website forces me to grant the restaurant 2 stars due to it being fully vegan which I guess is fair enough but that's really all they have going for them.

Pros: Didn't get to experience any.
Cons: Poor customer service., Extremely rigid rules, unwillingness to compromise, Didn't update their information online.

Seriously? How is it their fault that you turned up late? It's not a big place and most people realise that kitchens have to prepare lunch and sadly, when breakfast is over, it's over. I'm sorry you didn't get the breakfast you wanted, but your review is unfair and makes you sound like a whingy tourist.

And you're whinging about the whingy tourist. Well done. By the way, I've had restaurants cook me some things off the breakfast menu at 9pm. I didn't have to beg them, they just did because they were nice people. If they're not willing to be decent people who compromise on their rigid rules, they're going to have people leaving upset. That's what happened. I only had one chance to go there and this was my experience. If they want better reviews they can be nicer to people.

Brilliant vegan street food in Soho - Edit
Super good food, nice staff & they refuse to take the new 5 & 10 pound notes, as they aren't vegan. All in all a brilliant place to go and get your lunch or dinner. I wouldn't bat an eye going back.

Although they were closed the first attempt I made eating here, it was worth the second trip. I had a deliciously garlic-y kebab and the cashier was really kind.

Vegan & Convenient - Edit
Found this place on happycow. It's a simple little place in a mixed area -- seemed a bit out of place for a vegan establishment, yet it was a lifesaver because we were hungry. We met the owner, and she was sweet. The food is casual vegan, some fast food.

Jackfruit burgers are better than sex - Edit
Friendly staff, central location near Pickadilly Circus, but the main reason to come here are the amazing jackfruit burgers. They have outdoor seating but when we were there there were too many beggars bugging us so we chose to go inside. I thought it was a bit silly though not to accept the "non-vegan" 5 pound bills.

Vegan Hippo is a nice bistro in Soho, close to Piccadilly. I like this lovely place with friendly staff. I ordered a jackfruit burger and it was really good. It isn´t so healthy, but once a time...I can recomend it.

Overpriced - Edit
We went there to eat their famous English breakfast but I was quite disappointed with the dish. The sausage was the only thing I actually liked and it wasn't even homemade (you can buy it in a store, it's the taifun brand), the beans were canned as well and the tofu scramble didn't taste like eggs due to its lack of black salt. If this had been cheaper, at least it would be understandable, but it was clearly overpriced (£10).

Oh no! - Edit
I ordered a pulled BBQ burger and the filling was OK nothing great... The bread Omg the bread was so incredibly hard I had to eat the filling with a fork and leave it, the avocado was unripe, the sweet potato fries were soggy, the outer tables smell like pee and the service is slow... The staff is friendly and the place inside its cute but I can't rate this more than 2 stars just for that I went there for the food and it was not just bad but expensive

It's not that cheap - Edit
It's not that cheap.
Read moreThe bread isn't home made.
The kebab is the cheap soy meat and it wasn't event fryed to crisp. It tasted nothing like kebab.
There was way too much garlic in it. I didn't Even finish it (and I'm a garlic lover).
The mayo was "stiff" and jelly like when you put too much oil in it. It didn't have any taste. And the setting was not nice at all.
At least the sweet potato fries were good...

Decent - Edit
I had the jackfruit burger from here - it was pretty nice, but not outstanding. The barbecue flavour was quite overpowering and the burger was quite difficult to eat (toasted crusty roll which fell apart when you started eating). I would recommend this place if you're in the Soho area, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

delicious jackfruit burger! - Edit
My husband and happened upon the vegan hippo randomly and we were very excited to run into an all vegan restaurant! I got the BBQ jackfruit burger and it was sooo good! The sauce was amazing and the avocado was a nice touch, the jackfruits texture is so similar to a pulled pork texture it's crazy! My husband got the hippo bites and they were tasty but not very filling. Overall I would give the vegan hippo a try if your in the area!

Yummy Hot Dog and Fries - Edit
Had a filling lunch, a hot dog and a side of fries. Total price was about 7.30 pounds. It was my first tofu dog and all in all I was satisfied with the overall experience that you usually expect when having a real hot dog. Only thing missing was some juiciness.
